amazing revisit. This 2005 Lauren Bryce still is bold napa cab! Much of the vigor of its past has transitioned to a layered palette of earthy flavors and spicy goodness. We have a few in the cellar we’ll keep a few more years and check in then. yum. — 6 months ago
Went to their champagne bar in Paris-don’t know specifically which tasted but all fabulous — 9 months ago
Very strong sake, plum, lychee aroma. Guava and lychee flavor, full bodied the entire time, extremely sweet. Hints of agave in the aftertaste. This has been my favorite wine of the semester but it’s probably just the sugar, sorry Stoler have fun in Hawaii — 14 days ago
Maroon red in color. Lees present. Light to medium red. Spices, smokey, cranberry and wet clay on the nose. tastes cinnamon, spices, cranberry — 6 months ago
Dark, glass-clinging amethyst purple with opaque black core. Initially shy but inviting nose of blackberry, echoed on the medium full plate which adds notes of licorice, dark plum, and patent leather. Juicy, medium plus acidity enhancers the fruit and, paired with medium tannins, yields a very food-friendly Syrah that's a natural for steaks, roasts, or grilled fare. Try it with black olive pizza! Drink now through 2028. — 6 months ago
Extremely sweet. Strong taste of honey. I actually really liked it despite its off putting color and strong syrupy taste. — 14 days ago
A distinct shade of medium old gold with with persistent little bubbles. The nose is resplendent with apples of the green variety. An abundance of citrus scents along with yeast and a touch of nuttiness. Just a bit of smeared honey aromas goes a long way here.
Biodynamic and beautiful. Zero dosage and aged for six years, the strength here is balance and purity. Terroir driven and electric, this is an incisive and focused champagne. Composed of 85/15 Pinot Noir/Chardonnay and wonderfully dry. Lemons and dried herbs on the palate along with cherries and apples. Long and dry and lovely. — 24 days ago
Perhaps the best sweet American wine I have tasted. Sublime apricot aroma. $24 at Charlottesville Costco. — 8 months ago

Vintage 2016 | Magnum | Still tannins to my surprise. Needs aeration. Minerals, flint, red fruit. Solid taste. Paired with duck and roasted beetroot. — 19 days ago
