Blend of 69% Shiraz, 16% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from McLaren Vale, deep Ruby color with aromas of berry fruits and sweet spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry and cherry with notes of vanilla, spice, licorice and tobacco. Fine tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, sweet spice and earthy notes. — 7 months ago
Absolutely loved it. Complex but easy to drink. We had Volume 4. — 3 years ago
Not much left on the nose - a little whiff of pomegranate. Super savory and saline notes on the palate. Interesting. — 4 years ago

2007 vintage. From magnum and tasted 1.5 hours after being decanted. Herbal (but not mint) and woodsy nose. Medium body. Tons of thrusters at full power initially but the dark cherry, plum and baking chocolate notes were the only remaining flavors after the leap to hyperspace. That expected and (in)famous Latour power definitely in the picture but without any other stars in the cast to make this worthy of Oscar consideration. Not a top notch vintage, yet it seems like this effort is on a giant plateau and could remain there for a decade-easy. Likely would have benefited from an additional hour or two of air time but not enough to move the needle significantly…maybe to 9.3. — a year ago
Every time I drink a Two Shepherds wine I wish I had more in my cellar. A true “Rhône ranger” producing some of the best rhône-style wines in California. We all need to drink more Two Shepherds and support innovative winemakers who think about product quality before profit and ratings. Thanks to my dear friend Bruce for introducing me to Two Shepherds and supplying me! — 4 years ago
Thanks Tom; this is very nice, it’s been a while but it’s a great one — 6 months ago
Vanilla and oak on the nose. Wet rock. Not as bright and fruity as other Pinot noirs. Would buy again. — 6 months ago
A bit closed on the nose and still some alcoholic heat which proves that additional cellaring is needed. Besides that a fantastic wine. Quite some acidity which surprised me for a Napa wine. If you have this wine I would keep it at least another year or two before opening it — 10 months ago
@Delectable Wine oddly enough this is a Blanc de Cinsault, one of the silver linings of 2020.
When the fires hit early in harvest 2020, Will and Karen hedged their bets by pressing some of the 100+ year old vine Cinsault from the legendary Bechtold Vineyard immediately, and the result is a joy: pear, pomello, white grapefruit, some pith and white pepper on the finish. Fragrant and light.
In good news, the regular Cinsault from the vintage also turned out beautifully and isn’t showing a trace of smoke taint—or at least when I tried it a few months back. — 2 years ago
Clone from Loire valley. Very tasty. Supply and demand has brought this from $45 to $85 — 4 years ago

Drank after decanting for few hours. Lot of alcohol taste but good with the pork roast we had. This one has lost some of it's fruit. Still solid. — 6 years ago

Nice big, chewy wine. 2nd half of the bottle still drank nicely 5 days after opening. — 4 months ago
