A Produttori with burgers.. Amazing. Should we all cellar the 2013 produttori bc it could be very interesting in 15 yrs @Antonio Galloni ..? — 8 years ago
Fuck me! I have never had a Leoville Barton at this level! The nose actually made me hard. Probably smelled it for 15 minutes before my wife told me to eat my damn dinner. This is one sexy bitch. Total balance. Great complexity. Wanting for nothing. Give it a 30 minute decant and sit back and enjoy. I'd happily trade a 2010 Hundred Acre for another one of these. Not going to bullshit you with hints of truffle and smoke and other bullshit...this is just damn fine wine...thy I have had way too much of tonight😳 — 8 years ago
$313 bottle of opus one sat waiting in our wine cooler for 4 years (cost less than $200 then). Gentlemen at the winery told us 7 years would make for optimum drinking but could hold on for 15+ yrs. celebrating the new year so we opened it exactly 7 years later. Definitely needed time to breathe and open up but really enjoyed this Cali Bordeaux blend. Not super big/dark or highly tannic like some reviews stated but rather easy to drink in my opinion :) — 9 years ago
Delicious - even better day two and day three — 10 years ago
2013. Surprising Pino. Let is sit for a bit and you will have a drinkable balanced wine. Will buy again. $15 at Kroger. — 11 years ago
Very young, but will be amazing in 10-15 years. Was really tight and closed but opened up very nicely after about 30 minutes in glass. Cassis, a little raspberry and tobacco — 8 years ago
This wine is a monster. When it opened, it had a lot of things to figure out, but did within 15 minutes. The wine was a lot of fig, some prune, a little mushroom both on the nose and on the palate with a very brief finish. This wine then vaulted to a dark mature red cherry wine on the front with good acidity, some oregano in the middle but a lot of dark fruit structure. The finish of this wine was increasingly tannic. Gave me some kind of sweetness in the middle to the finish. Kept on getting more youthful until about two hours when it just stayed the way it was. Nice wine. Has a crazy amount of life left. At least 10 years more. — 8 years ago

Fruity and dry on the palate with blackberries, plums, figs, spices, peppercorn, oak, vanilla, licorice, cocoa and mocha.
Big and full bodied with medium acidity and Long legs.
Long finish with big round tannings and black pepper.
Still young, but drinking well now.

Unsweetened caramel, toasted walnuts and cashews. Wonderfully layered with complexity and tremendous length. — 12 years ago
Nose: fresh fresh flowers, with cherries,; almost rose in color; light medium weight, strong strong minerality, slight effervescence really pops in mouth. Cut through yummy salmon, pork loin, & various vegetables. Downed at Rouge Tomate on 15% off bottle Thursday-score! — 8 years ago
The 15 vintage is still in barrel and will be for awhile longer. On the nose, bright, fragrant field of wild flowers, black licorice, cinnamon, vanilla, ruby fruits of; blackberries, blueberries, dark cherries, cherries, strawberries and dark loamy soils. On the palate; bright, fresh, ripe fruits that mirror the nose, nice deep spices, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, vanilla, tobacco, graphite, soft leather, dry crushed rocks, edgy volcanic minerals and pronounced dusty/crumbly tannin structure. The long finish has beautiful ripe fruits with good structure, balance, acidity with a touch of strawberry cola. Photos are the other large old oak fermentation vats inside their estate and another perspective of their awesome terrace view. Notice on the label...no Merlot? The decided to rip up and replant their Merlot vines. — 8 years ago
Clean, briny and peaty. Warm on the finish. Needed a little water to open up. — 9 years ago
Absolutely excellent. Even with 15 years in the bottle there was some spice, beautiful plum and coffee with fantastic balance. — 9 years ago
Medium gold color. Nose of wax, brown sugar, flowers. On the palate there is not much acidity, flavors of oxidized apples, exotic fruit, flowers, wax, and butter. Shows some evolution but in the same time great depth. A wine to pair with a meal instead of taking it by itself? Very good (89)
