Tony Arcudi crafts this wine from multiple renowned Pinot Noir vineyards so the wine has many more layers of complex flavors. Gorgeous fruit in the mid palate. A very yummy and drinkable wine! — 9 years ago
Wow! Ash volcanic toasty nose with great mid palate of clean pure dark fruits like hard candy and balanced well made smoking wine! — 9 years ago
Tony Arcudi, an amazing up and coming winemaker. The Fruit is from 2400ft elevation with floral aromas with ripe blackberry & cassis. Well structured with good body, length & tannins. Age worthy. — 10 years ago
Savignan in a Burgundian style with a citrusy aftertaste and delicate nose — 7 years ago
Fabulous older California Chardonnay. Not much acid left (it had all precipitated out), but still rich and very enjoyable. undoubtedly a but past prime for my palate. I tend to prefer to err on the side of drinking California Chardonnay too young rather than chance them being too old, so I wouldn’t hold it any longer if I had it. On the other hand, I certainly wouldn’t pass up a glass if you are offered this. Not sure how anyone could rate this a lot lower unless they had a flawed bottle, but everyone is entitled to their opinion. Thanks Dan. — 8 years ago

A beautiful classic Amarone, and one of my favorites! VERY aromatic; tobacco, espresso, dried fruit and rosemary, and rose water on the nose, with a gorgeous spoonful of cherry cobbler, dried fig, vanilla spice, dried herbs, and a lingering spice on the finish. Drinks like an older vintage of Amarone used to with the rosemary notes, which is fantastic and unique for a very unique style of wine. — 10 years ago
Christmas Eve dinner with pasta and shrimp. Bracing acidity with Gravenstein apples that linger through a touch of oak. Lovely and vibrant wine from our friend, Tony Soter. Perfect now but will hold for a few years to come. Fun! — 7 years ago
A small winery in the Carneros region of Napa managed by Tony and Jo Ann Truchard successfully growing grapes for over 40 years. Complex aromas of red fruit, floral, citrus and earthy tones. On the palate strawberry and cherry with orange citrus, green tea, and sweet spice. Soft tannins on long finish ending with delicate spice and mineral notes. Nice. — 8 years ago

The 2015 Tendril ‘Tightrope’ Pinot Noir is a spectacular effort by the talented Tony Rynders. This is a limited production bottling which was aged for eighteen months in 50% new French oak prior to bottling. On the nose this takes on beautiful aromatic range from red and dark fruits to hints of cloves and black truffle shavings. The mouthfeel is downright seductive as layers of dark and red berries connect with earthy undertones and the toasty oak. While this has excellent mid-palate weight, there is also a seamless quality to the wine. The extremely long finish completes this gorgeous new wine. Delightful in its youth, this will continue to cellar well for the next fifteen to twenty years. Drink. 2019-2035- 94
