But don’t fear, its balanced by a salivating acidity (pH 3.07) and a linear crushed stone minerality that brings tensions, texture and balance, the oak is well integrated with a slight roasted nut and spice complexity. Well I pulled the cork I did not like the nose at all seemed rather astringent. Think hot rubber tire meets petroleum. So off to a decanter for a breathe of fresh air. Seemed to do the trick after about 30 minutes. Hints of strawberries, hot soil and some oak showed up. Upon drinking it it had a sort of lingonberry meets raspberry but finished more towards the strawberry side of things. This is one that does get better sip by sip. Thought the acid was going to be higher but pleased it was not. I think this is one of those people are either like or hate. I fall on the like it side. — 6 years ago

The nose on this is really nice. It’s floral, perfume, blueberry, and bright red fruit. The palate almost doesn’t match. Not in a bad way. Nose seem to promise delicacy and palate was big and powerful. It’s red and blue fruit with some salinity, rubber tire, and meaty smokiness.
92 for now. We grabbed a bunch on a good deal. I’m excited to see this evolve over time. Super young but really enjoyable now. — 5 years ago

Bon mes attentes étaient quand meme éleve, dans mon CellarTracker c’était indiqué 2005, je voulais me faire plaisir mais en enlevant la capsule je remarque l’inscription 2003! Bon sang, le producteur s’est trompé de bouchon... mais non l’acheteur c’est trompé de millésisme qui est timidement indiqué à l’endos de la bouteille. Somme tout, la bouteille était tres agréable, on reconnaissait la chauffe du millésisme, la prune, les fruits cuits. Rien de comparable à un 2005 bu il y a deca quelques années déjà! Helas! Il m’en reste une autre que j’ouvrirai tres bientot probablement à l’automne avec un bon plat mijoté — 5 years ago

Opened with slow oxygenation for 5 hours before tasting. Palate is expressive and changes nicely in the glass all night, very floral, violets and still some varietal Syrah scents and profile despite the 15 years. Palate is medium bodied, freshness is there, the tannins have melted and are of very nice texture, the medium plus length finale ends with some peppery and flowery tones. Nice but expected a little more. 90-91

Ouvert 5 heures avant dégustation en retirant le bouchon seulement. Un nez aromatique et évoluant très bien dans le verre, floral, violettes et montrant assez peu d’évolution. La bouche de texture soyeuse est assez fraîche, des tannins fondus, c’est fin et assez élégant sans être très complexe, une finale de longueur de niveau moyenne plus sur de jolis accents floraux et poivrés. Tres beau sauternes! En demi bouteille...il a perdu le côté petrolé qui me fait pas tripper....et on a tout simplement un beau sucre. Tire d éponge, miel, abricot confit et belle texture sans sensation de lourdeur. Bravo!

Blackberry, plum, and a little raspberry, with a little tobacco and pork fat. Not a lot of acidity or tannins. I don’t think this is a super complex wine, but it has a lot of the right elements for a good value in a Cabernet that’s approachable. — 6 years ago
