No words. Natty crunk meets ‘60s right bank Bordeaux. Luncheon claret...as you might have been served by Warhol or Timothy Leary. The Merlot seems a bit riper and more assertive in this vintage, but the CF wrapper leaf and cranberry pop comes in on the surprisingly suave and sneaky-tannic finish. There are no better wines being made in America if you love things that have one foot firmly rooted in the classics and the other with the itch for the new. Superlative and timeless. — 6 years ago
From magnum. A real dominatrix of a wine. Fierce and feisty right out of the gate. Limey attack with assertive texture and a walloping sear of tart citrus. Lay this down. Enough acid to make Timothy Leary’s head spin. — 8 years ago

£40 Toro joint rev'd w/ Ed Bozzard & Timothy Joint 👍 that needs more time in bottle or a serious decant (this was dbl decanted 24 hrs before) the structure is similar to Pintia 😉
🍷 Dark ruby red
👃Tar, minerals, earth & ripe black fruits w/ coffee punching through & light smokey oaks wiffs
👄 Med+ dark plumpy sweet fruit body with fine dry tannins that need air/time w/ big coffee kick
🎯 Med+ dark drying fruit punchy coffee finale

Such a gorgeous perfumed beauty on pop. Violets leap from the glass. Just so sexy and inviting. I was truly bummed when I saw the decanter emptying for that last pour. Aldo Conterno is hands down the most dependably delicious Barolo producer for my tastes. Like Karl Malone it always delivers. Always! Old style purists may prefer Giacomo Conterno or Rinaldi (which are sensational) but Aldo Conterno is my desert island Barolo. I bet it even looks good in a bikini. — 8 years ago
Love this wine. So fruity and so oaky at the same time. Very very well balanced and ready to drink NOW. — 9 years ago
Excellent example of what comes from Howell Mountain. Hard to believe this is a 13. This is a big wine. Dense and dark in the glass, complete black out. Whiffs of French roast coffee, anise, black licorice and black currant. Beautifully defined, yet pure and complex. Black berry jam jar, tobacco, hint of mocha, expresso notes fill the mouth. Fine grained tannins presents a long lasting finish that you won't forget. Exceptional bottle from @Ron Haber @timothy Milos. Thank you @Martin G Rivard for connecting me with Ron. — 9 years ago
I caught this beauty at the perfect moment in its aging. The terpenes are just emerging and the honey apple ginger notes are still fresh and lovely. I look forward to my next finger lakes expedition to stock up on Rieslings to age! — 6 years ago
