Bright acidity, notes of honey, like apple cider — 8 years ago
Fresh, lively, apple flavours maybe a bit weak on the finish but very enjoyable — 4 years ago
Bonnie’s favorite Pinot Noir, with good reason. It’s just beautiful. — 5 years ago
Mas Jullien ‘Les Depierre’ 1995 (Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, Cinsault). Utterly spellbinding. This puts any doubt about the potential quality for Languedoc wines to rest. An intoxicating yet delicate nose of redcurrant, blackberry, and graphite, with hints of smoke, paprika, and liquorice at the very end (not unlike a Barca Velha opened recently). Gorgeous palate; still tannic, with great acidity. Very long and with a clear sense that it has just come intimista own. A shame most of these bottles will have been opened a long time ago... — 6 years ago
Black cherry, a little tarragon, black pepper spice and black tea. Cab franc’s usual funkiness is restrained here. — 8 years ago
Smells of apple pie, cinnamon and vanilla. A signature bottle. — 8 years ago
Balanced, warm, fruity — 5 years ago
Jasmine, quince paste, spiced pear, lemon curd, pineapple sweetness, punchy. Touch of lemon pith at end, but tons of juicy acid. Creamy / lactic. Chalky minerals. Layered, delicious, weighty.

Really quite nice once you gave it some air. A bit stiff on its own but great with the robust flavors of the the Pinot Noir short ribs we had. — 6 years ago

Honeyed nose but green fruit on the palate. Great mineral finish — 7 years ago
A very well rounded Chenin that offers plenty of mid-palate and mouthfeel without sacrificing its most pleasurable assets; piercing acid and deep minerality. Nose is citrus driven, melange of grapefruit, orange marmalade, and lemon zest. Blossoms and leaves followed by a touch of redux and funkiness. Extremely inviting. Palate is focused, lime and oro blanco draped over crushed stones and sea salt. Phenolic kick on the back end to soften the acid’s blow. Showing so well today! — 8 years ago
13’ Thomas Fogarty Damiana Vineyard Chardonnay.
TASTING NOTES ( From the Winery)
Always our most opulent Chardonnay, Damiana has vivid fruit and buttressed by intense natural acidity. Power and grace.
Orange zest, lemon/lime, hard butterscotch candy, soft creaminess to it. A splash of acid. Needs a 30/ 45 minute decanting. It’s still felt slightly short of what it will be!!
There’s no doubt this will taste better in a year. This is the current release. Will age nicely for another 8/10 years. — 8 years ago

Paired with a nice Indian meal. Off dry complemented the heat and spice. — 4 years ago
