Gevrey-Chambertin Pinot Noir 2019

Did not took any notes but frankly very light rubi color, elegant and truly well done. Buying more for sure. Very classical and with lots of potential. — 8 months ago

Saumur-Champigny Cabernet Franc

Black currants and tart plum with great acid that unfurls the pencil lead silky texture down the center. Generous nose that evolves continually, that at first seems deceptively simple. — 5 years ago

Selection Vieilles Vignes Supérieur Red Bordeaux Blend 2018

I don’t drink much Bordeaux, not sure why. Maybe the choices are a bit overwhelming for me 🤷‍♀️ this one is medium bodied, has smooth tannins, not much fruit. — 5 years ago

@Sharon B same..my first Bordeaux ( many years ago) tasted like Band-Aids gone really bad. I do have a Lynch Bages 2016 in waiting. BUT most people do not touch this wine for 20 yrs +. Not sure how well I will enjoy that at age 75!! As I contemplate my wine purchases over time...!

Surprise! Was poked in 2016 and it’s still drinking nicely. Lean more muscular but interesting profile of Pinot that mashes you think about it — 5 months ago

Meursault Chardonnay 2021

2021 vintage. Part of a portfolio tasting through 25 white/red Burgs. Some aggressive, frontal oak that mellows out a bit as it goes down. Medium/medium-heavy body. For village swill, this covers the bases quite nicely. 9.29.25 — 8 months ago

La Marginale Saumur-Champigny Cabernet Franc 2022

Really an excellent cab franc. Have had stuff from Thierry Germain before but not this bottling. Perfect with a variety of Syrian dishes at Damas in Montreal. Bright, restrained fruit, excellent acid. Nice finish. — a year ago

Les Bruyères Chardonnay 2017

Surprisingly precotious, with aromas of hazelnuts and drying fruit. A sense of oak with a little hint of vanilla, perhaps telling of a bit of new oak in the mix. Quite big bodied, high acidity and a smooth texture. Two years on the lees, long finish. — 4 years ago

Irancy Pinot Noir

Wonderful, beautiful Pinot from the Chablis region. Drinks like a cooler region Pinot - fruity, light-med body, smooth, low-med tannins, nice acid. Could age a bit longer still. — 5 years ago
