Dinner at Brickhouse — 6 years ago
2011, Brickhouse, Ribbon Ridge, Oregon Gamay Noir. One of favorite wines and has only gotten better with bottle aging. Tart cranberry, black pepper, spice, lavender and a forest floor finish. Good acidity, moderate alcohol and just a hint of tannin. Well balanced and complex. The best NW Gamay that I have tasted. Could easily be blind tasted as a Burgundy PN or a Cru Beaujolais. — 8 years ago
12.8%. Bien Nacido vineyard. Open knit. quite light but sneaky concentration. Spicy whole cluster wild raspberry eucalyptus juice. Reminds me of the Brickhouse gamay/pinot blend that I like so much. This is great. Drink slightly chilled. Pair with Greek feta. — 3 years ago

Clearly John was paying attention while at Brickhouse. This wine is crazy delicious. Feel like I could drink this every day of the year and not tire of it. — 9 years ago
Definitely showing some age tonight, still lively and nicely balanced acidity, solid finish, I’d say mature, but should hold another few years, served with our first grilled wild salmon of the season (sadly, not Copper River). — 4 years ago
2013, Brickhouse, Cuvee du Tonnelier, Ribbon Ridge, Pinot Noir. No notes. Old world style with tart red fruit, excellent acidity and some earthiness. — 8 years ago
