St Innocent Winery
Seven Springs Vineyard Pinot Noir
Willamette Valley, Oregon, USA
Who says Pinot from the US doesn't age? This Oregon site has proven a winner for many wineries, and I'm just glad I have several more bottles to see where this one goes in the future.

En Magnum — This shows more wild herb, faintly grassy, and chalky redfruits, also a tad leaner fruit wise than the richer 2000 SS, still showing some tannin, this may last longer than the 2000 SS, but lacks a little charm in comparison.

Floral and rich redfruit aromas and flavors, very youthful still, nice structure, excellent depth, need 5-10 more years based on this bottle, wow!!

Lovely floral, earthy, and red fruited aromas and flavors, soft tannins, not quite fully mature, but lovely with first of season Copper River salmon!!

Still quite closed and somewhat backward for a 21-year-old Pinot (way more so than the ‘99 Brickhouse), rich redfruits, quite complex, still pretty structured, needs 5-10 more years, long finish, excellent.
