I'm not an expert on American Gamay, but this is spot on for what I expect it to be.

Wonderful birthday gift - one of best domestic Gamay had I can recall. Beautiful color, rich, layered vibrant nose: slate, dark cherry, leaves, wet gravel. Slightly tart red fruit front palate, layered subtle but complex mid palate, pleasant lingering finish. Bravo Oregon.

Tart cherry and cranberries galore! Notes of balsamic, sea air, and rocks. Really groovin' on this Gamay right now.

2011, Brickhouse, Ribbon Ridge, Oregon Gamay Noir. One of favorite wines and has only gotten better with bottle aging. Tart cranberry, black pepper, spice, lavender and a forest floor finish. Good acidity, moderate alcohol and just a hint of tannin. Well balanced and complex. The best NW Gamay that I have tasted. Could easily be blind tasted as a Burgundy PN or a Cru Beaujolais.

Liked this one a lot. Would drink it anytime.
