I've had this bottle in the cellar for a LONG time (probably past peak)...waiting for the right occasion. Here is to ten eventful years of Builders Bargain. Jammy, delicate flavor. 13 years of aging has given this a very earthy quality. Decanted for 90 minutes but should get even more spectacular through the evening. Cheers! — 9 years ago
I wish I had the right words to describe what about this I love. — 10 years ago
Plum, blackberry, candy apple, fig newtons, and insects on the nose, very soft tannins, nicely balanced heat and acidity. Lingering finish. Nice. — 11 years ago

Love this wine and what Michael Zardo is doing over at Ten Acre/Bella. Exceptional bottle that shows a true Cali PN. Full bouquet of lilac, violets, caramel and musk. Beautiful nose. Sip shows spice, smoke, black fruits, black tea with subtle tones of mole bitters. That same spice returns for a lingering finish flashing its soft round tannins one more time. — 10 years ago

Still young, bit of malo. — 9 years ago
The standard expression is very good, but the barrel aged version is out of this world amazing. I was only able to get my hands on one can so I won't be able to asses how it ages, but even young it is exceptional. — 9 years ago
Still super young, very fruit forward but heading towards being a balanced wine. Open in ten years. — 10 years ago
Floral with great red berries and a bit of earth tones on the finish. A nice find. Worth seeking out — 10 years ago
Not your typical Hunter. More elegant than rustic. — 10 years ago
