2014 - Luscious, slightly fruity and subtle white pepper bouquet; great body that spreads over the palate, and what legs, pleasant medium long finish; enjoyed with spatchcocked turkey and all the fixings; kudos to winemaker Jeff Stewart and to the Hartford’s.Tasted at vineyard (sole source), bought one through wine club; need to get more; well worth the price as a premium Pinot (best that I have tried). A fantastic '79! Slow-ox for 4 hours and decanted into a carafe just before serving. Wonderfully meaty nose combining a savoury pungency of sundried tomatoes and black pudding with tones of strawberries and sweet morello cherries, and just a hint of anise and cloves at the back. Fantastic density of character with pronounced yet balanced acidity, just a hint of life-affirming tannin and great length. Carrying its age with dignity yet with a hint of youthful virility - still a spring in its step - a Patrick Stewart of a wine. — 8 years ago

This may sound silly, but I bought this bottle after watching a Martha Stewart cooking show on preparing Coq Au Vin. Yeah, I admit it, Im A Martha Stewart fan . She said" I always use my finest cognac."
Yes I paid a small fortune to cook chicken with cognac, but I followed the recipe.
I'm not a big cognac guy, but ...........................
Very smooth, my guests love this stuff, and the dinner was a hit too.

Fresh and crisp. I usually don’t like Chardonnay but this is wonderful! Picked by Martha Stewart from her wine collection. — 8 years ago
A rare Napa Valley Albariño from the Stewart Ranch in Carneros, close to San Pablo Bay. Beautifully complex nose with ripe white peach, camomile, jasmine, lime and a distinctive oceanic minerality. On the palate it is bright and energetic with very pure juicy white stone fruit, crispy acidity, impeccable balance and a long mineral-driven finish to the point of feeling salty. A terrific wine! Well worth the price at 27 euro. 200 cases produced. Abv. 14,1%. — 8 years ago
Menthol/ vinegar on the nose, a harshness that fades. Blueberry jam, but has lost a bit of its fresh fruit. Kind of forest character. 2007. — 9 years ago

Great pizza wine. A hint of RS, good acid, great value for money. No better pinot gris in California — 10 years ago

Douglas & Ana Lucia Stewart founded Breggo in 2005 before selling the brand four years later. They kept their estate property though, and from it the Lichen label was born. Their 2014 offers amid-weight expression of Anderson Valley Pinot that balances its fleshier frame with aromatic lift. Notes of hibiscus and pressed red rose meet sappier, medicinal tones on the palate - rosemary, underbrush, pomegranate and raspberry liqueur. — 7 years ago
