Only one bottle?Red Sox are finishing up a disappointing season, but this wine is definitely not disappointing. Nose is deeply fruity, with intense and pure red fruit and the barest whiff of gravel. In the mouth it’s fruity, pure, deep, dry, and balanced. If Le Marche made Beaujolais, this would be its Morgon. Fantastic value in a weekday dinner wine. — 2 years ago
Ruby color. Medium tears. On the nose, red fruit, warmth, plum. On the palate, spicy start with anise and currants to smooth finish with plum and pomegranate. Can’t really beat a good Italian blend. — 4 years ago
Some residual sugar; a little spritzy. Unusual flavor - grapefruit section dividers, sort of resinous notes but clean palate. — 6 years ago
Brown and ruby coloration. On the nose, cherry, earth and minerals. On the palate, cherry, oak, vanilla, raspberry and medium to fuller body. Tannins are strong but balanced nicely. Medium to longer finish. — 6 months ago
Pale straw color. Green fruit, pear, melon, alcohol on the nose. Low acid, medium-light body, more alcohol than you’d think, dry, very mineral flavor, slightly herby, lot of ripe pear. — 8 months ago
This is a teenager Cortese that decided to become a punk. But its parents accept the whims of the youth. So the rebelling spirit stays tamed. The bouquet is full of spoiled white plums, soaked white flowers, raw dough, kōcha kinoko, smoke, and pickles. To my taste, it lacks acidity (so not sure what destiny awaits this little rebel). Overall it is complex, multilayered, and even has some delicacy. And all these umami flavours (hello, mr Shiitake)! And the aftertaste of ripe, even baked fruits and pickles. A good find, for sure. — 2 years ago

Local distributor no longer carrying Red Cat by Hazlitt Vineyards, this was recommended as a suitable substitute. I have to agree with the recommendation. — 7 years ago
Absolutely gorgeous tonight, with red label stardom, continuing to get better and better in the decanter wafting waves of roses, black cherries, exotic spices and tea leaves. It has immense richness but also so fresh and detailed. There is incredible density yet without weight. An amazing combination of power and elegance. — 7 months ago
Very understated nose with blackberry, a bit of roast, leather & a touch of black pepper.
On the palate this is very, very elegant - much more Pinot like that a burly Syrah.
Very fine polished tannins, great depth, beautiful purity of fruit. So juicy, elegant & complex. Quite serious and yet so drinkable. A true beauty. — 9 months ago

Delicious! Nose was full and fruity. Blueberry pie, cassis, dark fruits and some floral notes. Tastes delicious. Some tannins that softened over the course of the bottle. Would be nice decanted. — 6 years ago

Still good fruit. Lots of secondary notes. Some dried herbs, dark plum, tar. Refined and still all in place — 6 months ago
