@delectable this is the Piesport Pinot Noir. I don’t know what distinguishes this but it’s not one of their reserve bottles. Still cherry focused, cherry cola. Some blood. Some dried rose and lots of dead leaves. Has developed some secondary notes: plums, cooked and dried fruits. It’s spot on. Good acids. Very fine tannins, very resolved. Not terribly demanding but just right. At this price I wish I could have one per week. The second day it gets plummier and takes on dried, peppery, beefy notes, like drinking magical Coca-Cola. Would be great at wu’s wonton house.

16.5/20 (90/100) Аромат грушевого варенья, абрикосового джема и яблочных леденцов. Сладкое с довольно высокой, покалывающей язык кислотностью. Насыщенное во вкусе. Очень хорошо. — 5 years ago
From a site within Goldtropfchen this is an absolute stunner. 2017 sweet wines are 🔥🔥. Huge nose of apricot, minerals, sweet peaches, vulcanized rubber but in that Mosel way. So good. Amazing balance and richness. Like pink grapefruit with sugar on top and then a whiplash acidity, minerality and salinity. My god this is good. So clean and nimble while being intense and rich. The Mosel ballet. Finishes bone fry. Stunning wine. Coming to an inbox near you. — 5 years ago
Not super complex but refreshing. Darker than I expected, in ripeness and on the nose. There’s some blood orange and forest floor and lots of bruised ripe cherries. Slight bit of leather. Blood orange again, vanilla, and pine on the finish. It’s cherry season out there so if everyone wants to keep talking about cherries, go out and follow them throughout the season and cycles of ripeness. There’s some soft but present, fairly fine-grained tannins and a grey stream mineral finish. — 4 years ago
This is a KabiNett by the back label. Interesting they call it a Grand Reserve. Highest category I’ve seen at Spater Veit. Insane nose. Spices and perfumed. Peach skin, apple skin, so complex. The Piesport spice bazaar in full effect. Gorgeous hit of honey and tangelo. Palate is a dream. Juicy and complex but light and lithe with such amazing vivid and pure citrus fruits on the mid and finish. Stunning complexity and depth yet so light and nimble. — 4 years ago
Beautiful nose. Floral, slate, minerals, hint of apricot and peach, palate is to die for, elegant and textured with incredibly focused fruit. More like fruit skin but so precise. Apricot and peach. Terrific freshness, balance and minerality. Delicate mineral finish. Lovely wine. Huge complexity on the finish. A true feinherb in that the sugar only adds a textural element. — 5 years ago
@delectable this is the reserve Not what I expected. Nose is mineral with some lovely lemon skin. Lemon flowers too. Lovely aromatics. Palate is intense delicious lemon with some Meyer lemon. Very mineral. Great fruit. Really Delicious. Long mineral finish. Bought from Fass Selections. — 6 years ago
Fresh, creamy, almost like a lemongrass lavender candle. Interesting.
Good carbonation. Good sweetness. Good fruit and acidity. Nice and off dry. The kicker that really rounds out a Riesling for me is not just it’s fresh, herb quality, but umami. I think the savoriness in wonderfully working Rieslings is often underrated or overlooked. We’ve got a bit of it here, which rounds out the experience nicely. — 4 years ago
Clean, mineral, delicious and straightforward Riesling at a reasonable price. Dry with a nice acidity. — 4 years ago
Gorgeous. Top “GG” style dry from SV. Stunning. Wow. What a nose. Insane. Peach skin, cooling blue fruits, apricot, all mid season ripeness. Balanced and so pure and so fresh. Complex. Stunning mouthfeel. Insane purity. So long. Genius wine. Balanced structure and fruit forward. — 5 years ago

Pears, sweetness of cider. Leaf essence laced in a breeze on a hike.
Pears. Well balanced sweetness. A nice peach aftertaste on the end note. Pretty. This is a pretty wine. — 4 years ago
