On the nose a stable, dark fruit, wet leaves, licorice. A big wine in other words, this Super Tuscan blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 15% Alicante, 10% Sangiovese and 5% Cabernet Franc. On the palate there is softness, round, dark fruit, some tobacco. A lively wine with a bite. Great surprise. — 5 years ago

A fantastic Maremma wine year in year out. Mostly Cab Franc providing silkyness and pure red fruit while Sangiovese is responsible for structure. A great buy for 24 Euros. — 9 years ago
Whole Foods love it too much — 9 years ago
WOW! The wait was worth it. So silky…. Cocoa powder, dusty blueberry, long finish. Needed about 3o minutes of airtime but after that it was amazing. Drink now.

Drank this in a little village about 30 miles outside of Rome at a special dinner arranged by our travel agent and prepared just for the two of us. The wine complemented the dinner well. — 9 years ago

Terre di Talamo – Vento Vermentino 2024
Toscana IGT, Maremma – Italy 🇮🇹
Overview
Crafted from organically grown Vermentino, this white reflects the Tuscan coast’s maritime influence. The IGT classification allows the estate flexibility while still showcasing the grape’s tension and vibrancy from Maremma’s sun-drenched vineyards.
Aromas & Flavors
Enticing notes of white peach, broom flowers, and a saline iodine edge mix with ripe tropical fruit—mango and papaya. It feels Mediterranean to its core, with both floral charm and coastal freshness.
Mouthfeel
Vibrant and tense, marked by crisp acidity and a light, tingling texture that keeps it energetic. The finish is silky and elegant, with a mineral snap that invites another sip.
Food Pairing
Perfect alongside grilled shrimp, seafood pasta, or even a tomato-based fish stew. Its brightness also makes it an easy pairing for mozzarella-based salads.
Verdict
A lively Tuscan white that proves Vermentino shines under the IGT umbrella. Clean, crisp, and expressive, it’s both refreshing and distinctive—ideal for warm-weather sipping. Cheers! — 8 months ago
Loved it enough to buy another bottle. — 4 years ago
Great value @ $11, if this was a chianti, it would easily be around $25.

Light straw gold color with greenish highlights. Aromas of citrus fruits, orchard fruits and white flowers. Flavors of lemon, green apple, peaches, fresh herbs and grapefruit. Pleasant mineral note on the medium finish. Crisp acidity and quite clean. Savory and fresh tasting. Thanks for sharing, Chris B! — 5 months ago
