This, ladies and gentlemen, is what I call damn good wine. Got to enjoy this courtesy of Josh Peeples at his place, one of the winemakers alongside Russell Bevan. The Addax label is small production, led by those two, and the quality is as to be expected. Sourced from Gap's Crown. This is a cab lovers Pinot. It is dark ruby red, has fairly slow moving legs, and is all about the red and blue fruits. Tiny bit of mint. — 9 years ago

Left me a bit speechless...the restaurant didn't have the wine I wanted, so this was the substitute they suggested. Great call on their part! The body was light-medium, color was light and the nose was full of cherry. The wine drank like a rockstar after only being open for a few minutes. Funny thing, the somm told me three times that it's biodynamic, as if that was a bad thing. Great wine @ at great price of 30 euro!! — 10 years ago

Big call, but here's to Kumeu River Maté's Vineyard being one of the best #chardonnay in the world! What a #wine! Bright, tight & focused at 8 years of age, with apple blossoms & cinnamon stick followed up by flinty, gun smoke, sun drenched slate tiles, & the faintest whisper of lemon curd on the nose, carrying me away to memories of my youth. Once upon the palate, it boogies to an electrophoretic humming of liquid energy, bringing life, happiness & joy with it.
