100% Erbaluce. 2016 is Santuvario's first vintage of white, named for Ivano Barbaglia's grandfather, from local variety Erbaluce (for which there is no DOC designation in Alto Piemonte). The vines are organically farmed and harvested by hand. The grapes are destemmed, fermented with native yeasts and macerated with skins for a month in a stainless steel tank. The wine is aged in steel, racked twice and bottled with minimal sulfur. Only 800 bottles produced.

Piedmont Nebbiolo Blend 2016
Delicate and light, with excellent drinkability. It's an interesting interpretation of the varietals Nebbiolo, Vespolina, Croatina from northern Piedmont. I liked the floral aromatics and the smooth tannins for a young wine. Paired with pork ribs. — 6 years ago

Really an excellent primarily Nebbiolo from Boca. In a nice spot! Tons of dark fruit, earth, and some good herbaceousness. Excellent acid. Finish still has some real tannic grip. Perfect pairing with the roast chicken at Borgo! — a month ago
