1984 Opus slightly browning but very good ruby. Opening up nose of cedar cassis Tabacco slight vanilla. Taste is definitely showing some age but expressing power of Napa. Med acid med + body. Another terrific beer from Jolly Pumpkin. Definitely improves with some time in the glass; much better on tap at the brewpub in Ann Arbor. Doesn't have the depth of the La Roja (which is by far my favorite JP), but still a great beer. — 11 years ago
