We had the 2013 Vintage on 5/2-3/21. This was a terrific full bodied, well balanced wine. Tastes of blackberry, plum, kirsch and vanilla on the palate. The tannins were smoothed out. A great example of the Napa floor. — 5 years ago

1992. Would have been better 5 yrs ago but still very nice with dried more than fresh fruit (prune/raisin more than plum/ grape) but still a touch of tannin on first opening. Definite cedary Napa dust gives a bit of structure. — 11 years ago

Deep purple without a hint of any other suggesting improper storage. Classic if a bit understated Napa nose. Soft yet appropriately firm tannins. Ripe black fruits. Luscious wine. Suggest drinking sooner rather than later owing to fruit ripeness. — 5 years ago

A gift from a special brother-in-law enjoyed with our last dinner of 2021. Very dark in the glass releasing smoked mango notes when nosed. A sip suggests cocoa-dusted dark cherries in velvet. Let this wine breathe! It is exquisite even before you let it breathe, but letting it breathe makes it 10x times better. The smell is enough to feel as though you already took a sip. Once it has breathed and you take the first sip, It immediately hits the tongue strongly, as it does back of the tongue. Extremely smooth going down. Leaves you with a bold taste on the middle and back of your tongue afterwards, but not strong enough going down to make it distasteful in the end. — 8 years ago
