Delicious and a touch more spice relative to the other duckhorn of the night — 6 years ago
A little hot at first, but after an hour or so of air, the wine came together wonderfully. — 6 years ago
This wine plays the outlaw image to the hilt. Lodi Cab faces off in a dusty street against Napa Cab, the fastest gun in town. They both shoot straight, but in different directions. Three Finger Jack has a nose of rustic black fruit, tar, forest floor, with only a hint of graphite. The palate leans in a more elegant direction, but still stands its ground as an “outsider.” It's a delightful drink, with plenty of pairing power and the tannic structure to prove it. — 7 years ago
Now quite evolved at nearly twenty years of age, the 2002 Lange Estate ‘Three Hills Cuvee’ marvelously showcases this incredible vintage in Oregon as the wine is showing brilliantly right now. The palate is plush and dense, showing wonderful range and tension. Black fruits, citrus rind, pomegranate seed and black truffle. Complex and delicious, this is right in its sweet spot. The wine shows good mid-palate richness and is nowhere near finished as this will cellar well for the next decade. Drink 2019-2028- 93 — 7 years ago
The nose is rich, ripe, round with a gummy fruit quality. Dark currants and cassis. Ripe & lush fruits of; blackberries, dark cherries, black raspberries, strawberries, black plum, ollieberries, soft well layered baking spices, vanilla, cinnamon, clove, sweet, dark spice, mixed berry cola, crush dry rock powder, dark rich soils, bay leaf/dry herbs and dark fresh dark floral bouquet.
The body is full but so soft and elegant and glides so beautifully over the palate. Ripe, blackberries, dark cherries, black raspberries, strawberries, black plum, ollieberries, soft well layered baking spices, vanilla, cinnamon, clove, sweet, dark spice, mixed berry cola, crush dry rock powder, dark rich soils, bay leaf/dry herbs and dark fresh dark floral bouquet. The acidity is excellent. The structure, tension, length are really harmonious so young. The finish is so well balanced, elegant, rich ripe and goes on & on.

Very fruity. Black cherry and blackberry aromas and some notes of cinnamon, then balanced fruit and baking spices that tingle the tongue and linger on. What Goes with That: Fall Sweets Class, pairing: pumpkin pie. — 4 years ago
16’ Hartford Court Three Jacks Vineyard.
Better then my last bottle!! Medium/deep golden color to it. Tangerine, dried apricot, banana, a drop of caramel.
Medium+ bodied, vibrant & fresh, with good acidity & nice richness. No need to hold on to these wines. Enjoy! — 6 years ago

Delicious even though a young wine. Very clean with hints of dark fruit. No lingering aftertastes — 5 years ago
Three years since the last bottle from this case. Very little flowers or fruit on the nose today, mostly cedar and cigar box and spice. Good structure, lots of tar and earth, sour cherry. Hint of mint on the end. Anything from the P del B is always great. — 6 years ago
Deep ruby color. Faint hints of red and blue fruit as well as some earthiness on the nose. Maybe even a little herbaceousness. Flavors of dark cherries, blueberries, baking spices and dried herbs Very sleek tannins and nice acidity. ABV of 14.9 but it does not come across as too hot. I actually would like to try this again with a nice piece of grilled meat. — 6 years ago
The 2014 Mouton Rothchild is a stunning wine that is already making its case for one of the wines of the vintage. Graphite, salted dark fruits, tar and mocha with a touch of red bell pepper all marvelously combine on the nose. Silky and marvelously textured, with an incredible complexity and viscosity, the wine shows wonderful brightness and a seamless quality that artfully dances across the mid-palate. Stunning and simply marvelous even at the five year mark, this is only an infant now and has decades of life to go. Try to resist this beauty for at least three more years. Spiced jam with a hint of floral notes. Layered and hard to nail down the exact bouquet, but it’s delicious. — 3 years ago
