Very approachable. Evolution of this bottle was over a 4 hour decant. First taste at opening, was tight dense gorgeous fruit, cassis, cigar, stone, and crisp Howell air. Second taste an hour later was bigger, bold, strong ruby fruit, less cigar but tobacco was still there. The fruit became longer on the finish and the density was so sexy. Taste like how you encounter sexiness tasting. Rudy, Tom, Michael and Red Cap Fam doing it really really well! — 6 years ago
Lovely. Goes better with creamy pastas than Michael David’s earthquake cab. — 6 years ago
Tutti frutti! Oh Rudy!! Tannin factor down to a minimum...very smooth man — 7 years ago
Drinking the 2010 in 2017. Rudy color. Thin legs that quickly dissipate. Bouquet of plum and raspberry, with cherry notes. Flavor is light for a Napa cab, very smooth and slightly sweet with very light tannins. — 7 years ago

Beautifully done by Rudy. 2014, his inaugural vintage! I ordered 4. This is the 3rd. Gonna lay one down for a long long time — 6 years ago
Exceptional Cab compared it to the 2014 blue rock and the 2013 WH Smith. It won. This is the next step up from Rudy Cab which is made by the Strasser family as well. Not sure I would pay almost 160% if the blue Rick price though. — 6 years ago
Gulptastic. One person thought it was a Rudy wine... 🙄🙄🙄 #newb — 6 years ago

Excellent expression of fruit. Wonderful day with winemaker Rudy explaining the terroir, layers of terrace, quartz reef, rabbit nuisance, gecko in the field & the Otago Pinot mafia — 6 years ago
Thanks to @Rudy Ruano for the nod on Voerzio. This one is such a polished version of Barolo. The age takes some of the edge off the acidity but no doubt this could drink well for another 20-25 yrs. — 7 years ago
Nice flavor from this 100% Shiraz. Deep Rudy color, mild tannin and beautiful red fruits and dried currants. I always love the variety that Penfolds brings to the table. Open up 2.5 hours before. — 8 years ago

One of the few remaining btls from my original 20K btl cellar in the golden years of the mid 2000’s when dining with Rudy, Big Boy, Kapon and the like was my past time. Boy was that fleeting! This was out of a split and it lived up to Robert P’s enthusiasm. Gorgeous. Great acidity and went perfect with Drew’s apple cinnamon bun decadent dessert. Isn’t it funny it says WHITE Riesling?!?! — 5 years ago
