Terry Leighton is the winemaker and is quite an interesting character. Terry marches to his own drum when it comes to making and releasing his wines. His 95 Chardonnay is his current release. How many wine producers are willing to hold their wines and forgo revenue until they believe they are truly ready to enjoy?Almost none! Terry does not filter his Chardonnay. The 95 is; macerated apples, pear, quince, a touch of ripe pineapple and has just a hint of a raisinated quality. Rich lush mouthfeel, nice balance and near perfect acidity. — 10 years ago

2003, Lovely wine, new world in style, rich intense and lavish. Deep garnet color, tempting nose of licorice, black cherries, leather, wet soil, chocolate, black rip plums, full body with well integrated rich round tannins, lovely acidity that is quit surprising for the extra warm vintage, long delicious dry yet ripe finish. A truly delightful wine, that is underrated in my humble opinion. My score 90+, drink to 2018, perhaps even longer. — 10 years ago

The more I drink 2012 Napa the more I realize that I should stock this vintage , quite robust yet still elegant. This CS has a deep dark color, lovely enchanting nose of black current, coffee, after eight and a light touch if spice, full body with firm tannins, that needed a bit of decanting to open up, a long delicious dry finish. I would wait a couple of years before approaching. My score 89, drink 2017-2027 — 10 years ago
Fantastic! High tannins and with a nose full of full bodied dark fruit take a sip and you will taste the black current, dark cherries, and raspberries, and with the scent on the nose the taste will be amplified. Amazing bottle. Great with company and food. — 10 years ago
1990, This lovely Pauilliac is showing beautifully after 25 years!
Tasted double blind and guessed perfectly (with a bit of luck) ;-).
The wine has a red - terra cotta color, a lovely nose, full of bell peppers, herbs, leather, current, cherry, dry leaves, coffee and much more, the body is full, powerful, rich and complex, with well integrated soft tannins. The wine is balanced and the finish is long and delicious. A great wine. My score 91, drink to 2022. — 11 years ago
