Rose petals, faint red fruit. Tannic, a little amorphous. Great with black truffle pizza, but really opened up 2 hours later. — 2 years ago

Cannubi Barolo Nebbiolo 2015

Delectable Wine
9.1

Fenocchio's 2015 Barolo Cannubi is soft and inviting, with racy curves, expressive aromatics and fine balance. Sweet tobacco, licorice, dried herbs, cedar and sweet red cherry are some of the nuances that emerge. The radiance of the vintage is evident in the wine's ripe profile and slightly forward flavors. My preference would be to drink the 2015 sooner rather than later. The Cannubi is the wine in which the warmth of the summer is felt most. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, November 2019) — 6 years ago

Thank you for the great review. Do you think that it’s worth waiting 2-3 years?

Dolcetto d'Alba 2020

Stumbling on a Dolcetto from Fenocchio is like finding a discarded sketch from DaVinci. Took a while to open up but gave hints of dark fruits. Relatively dry (despite the name) with grippy tannins. With weeknight shish taouk. — 3 years ago

Purchased from Eataly Toronto, pairs better with food than alone. Thought the price was astronomical then remembered I’m in Canada, not the States. 🥴 — 3 years ago

A real Barolo with real acidities and tannins. The surface is sleeker than Fenocchio or Borgogno but is not over-polished. 2014 has more energy than 2011, 2012 and 2013, almost matches 2010 but not as balanced. — 6 years ago
