In 1879, 2 brothers decided to set up a wine business, C.V.N.E., Compañía Vinicola del Norte de España (Northern Spanish Wine Company) or la Cuné, as it is commonly known in Haro, created and still kept in traditional neighborhood of Haro station today. Deep Ruby with ripe berry aromas/complex spices, 85% Tempranillo, 10% Graciano, 5% Mazuelo. Palate shows blackberry, cherry, sweet currant with herb, leather, oak & pepper spice. Fine tannins, well balanced good depth & structure, long finish, nice value! — 4 years ago

Delicious Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, jammy with blackberry & chocolate. 10% Merlot & 3% Cab Franc added....20months in French Oak Barrels. Enjoying this 2005 vintage. — 10 years ago
Excellent cab great depth tannins not overly fruit for just spectacular — 7 months ago
Tasting notes during visit to the winery where absolutely everything is done in-house by hand; preserving centuries old winemaking traditions. Bosconia is a delicate wine highlighted by persistent tones of red berries and bright acidity with integrated tannins closing with medium but lingering finish.
No stainless steel here. The juice is fermented in old large wooden “tinas,” then transferred to American oak barrels (made in house to lighter toast specifications), underground in their +100 year old cellars for at least a year. After that it is bottled and stored in the same underground cellars and finally released about ten years later. Learning about their curated winemaking process was inspiring. — 7 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2020 Reserva pours a deep ruby/purple with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and tart dark fruits: blackberry, black cherry, toasted coconut, dill, vanilla, wood, and associated baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Already balanced but the oak is playing a significant role at this stage (this is traditionally made Rioja Reserva we’re talking about). There is plenty of stuffing however and I expect this will become even more balanced with some time on its side. Want to see a wine under $20 that can age for 30 years? Welp, here you go. Drink now through 2050. — 9 months ago
Lots of forward fruit, red currant and blackberry. Subtle mid palate. Just a nip of tannins on the finish. Overall smooth and easy drinking. — 5 years ago
Consistently a favorite - smooth with ripe fruit and an hint of oak. Beautiful nose, medium finish. — 6 years ago
Oaky berry campfire. Not a typical cab. Lay down a few years to take off some fruit for some more substance. — 8 years ago
Very smoky and a little bit light for a Zin. Overall, a great wine with our burgers. — 9 years ago
Really nice. Red currant, spicy, herbaceous and some oak. — 10 years ago

Mid 20th century fashionable country resort, popular with Hollywood due to 1892 stone Manor House & historic gardens. Blend of Cab Sauv, Merlot, Malbec, rest other Rhone varieties, aged 20 months in 37% new French oak. Dark Ruby, aromas of ripe berry fruits, herbs & spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and black currant with vanilla oak and earthy notes. Well balanced, fine tannins long finish ending with fruit, espresso notes and sweet spice! Nice now and will drink well over next decade. — 7 months ago
Good. Buy again — 9 months ago
Top shoulder. Got the cork out in one piece. Absolutely perfect bottle with a lot left to give. Thick balsamic fruit, soft tannins, integrated oak, fresh acidity, everything in absolute balance. In a way almost perfect on the verge of lacking a bit of personality, but only almost. This has 10 years of life ahead of it but No reason to wait. — 6 years ago
Sweet finish — 7 years ago
Yes it's Friday, and it's time for my Cabernet fix.
Beautiful color of dark purple with a purplish rim.
Nice nose of wild flowers, blueberries, currants, plums, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, earth, spices, smoke, chocolates, mocha, alcohol, dark coffee, peppercorn and spices.
Medium plus in body and rich, with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, plums, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, earth, spices, green vegetables, bell pepper, leather, smoke, chocolates, mocha, wood, beef jerky and peppercorn.
Long finish with angular tannins and black pepper.
This Napa Cabernet Sauvignon from Oakville is fantastic. Spicy and complex, however, it is not balanced yet. Too young and harsh right now, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. A very typical Napa nose and palate with a great finish.
I have another bottle that I will keep for at least 5 more years. Needs to be opened for an hour or so to show complexity and tannins.
I found it to be better than the 2012 vintage.
Aged for 22 months in French oak barrels (60% new).
14.9% alcohol by volume. — 8 years ago
This is astonishing. Beautiful and powerful with a smoky, oaky, black-fruity, spicy nose that won't quit. Palate is rich with loads of fruit, sweet vanilla oak, and a port-like quality. This wine has monastrell's blueberry, black fruit, iron tincture, and beef blood signature. Skip the steak and pair this with savory for foods for a fantastic contrast. Finish is long and playfully tasty. — 11 years ago
Incredible length, minimal oak, low alcohol, structured acidity and rich fruit with being chewy. Exceptional. — 12 years ago
"Odedi"
Ruby in color with a wide reddish/brick rim.
Fruit forward on the nose and medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing sweet cherries, raspberries, blueberries, black currants, plums, chocolates, light oak, earth, cola, herbs, spices, light vanilla, licorice, peppercorn and tobacco leaf.
Nice tangy finish with soft tannins.
This 6-year-old Zinfandel blend from Sonoma County is drinking at its peak. Spicy and fruit forward. Elegant and juicy.
Great right out of the bottle, but even better after a few hours of air, when the complexity really comes to life.
The alcohol is very nicely integrated by now. Easy drinking and nicely balanced. A great sipping wine.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
91 points.
