Very nice wine. Bold and full of blueberry flavors an roasted coffee. Well balanced. — 8 years ago
Faire la Fête takes its cue from village of Limoux – “birthplace of bubbles” - where world’s longest running annual carnival celebration allows revelers to dance, sing, celebrate and enjoy an endless flow of sparkling wine. A blend of70% Chardonnay, 20% Chenin Blanc & 10% Pinot Noir. Clean, light aromatic nose of citrus, stone fruits and yeasty notes. Palate, ripe apple and lemon flavors, slightly creamy texture, balanced by crisp acidity and fine bubbles on lingering citrusy finish. — 6 years ago
Medium body satin smooth/flower bomb, good tannins and a pepper finish 2013 vintage. Great sans food but seems like the body would work with a Asian, bar b cue or fish entree. It’s a blend!!!!! — 6 years ago

Very few wines in this world we live in resist time in such a beautiful way. After 50 years, this beauty shows class, freshness and a cue of the power that once it had. Still very aromatic, showing tertiary aromas of humus, dried tobacco, meatness, decayed leaf, and coffee. There is a sense of Tawny Port adding to all that. The palate is ethereal, not heavy by any means, fresh with feminine - yet firm still - structure. Sweetness and savouriness blend in a surprisingly long finish. — 8 years ago

Olfato: manzana verde, piedra mojada. No mucho aroma.

I am very excited to drink this. From old vine Zin grapes grown on my favorite site (Beatty Ranch in Howell Mountain). And on cue it delivers that classic Beatty Ranch earthy black peppercorn spice on the nose, hovering over dark, very spicy blackberry and crushed rock. Absolutely attacks the palate with savory flavors. But no jamminess in the least. Very full but the 14.5 is well hidden. Such a long finish. Love this. — 6 years ago

My wine pick of the evening. Everyone went down the road of young Cab, and even Syrah in this one - RDD 2011 is potential cellar material - shows incredible youth in fruit with slow aging characteristics. This stuff was insanely good for this vintage. — 7 years ago
1998 Napa cab. Expected vegetal nose was right on cue. One of the most disparate experiences, nose to palate, I’ve had. The wine was nowhere near green and drank beautifully over dinner with veal chops! We decanted 60 minutes prior and had half an inch of sludge to clean up but wow. So pleased as I had all but given up on ‘98. Plenty of fruit left here! — 7 years ago

Visual: no defectos. Disco pequeno, ruby claro. Traslucente. Buenas lagrimas.
Olfato:
Cereza, frambuesa fresca, algo a tierra pero no mucho spice. Algo tart.
Boca: mismos sabores, fruta fresca tart. Cranberry. No madera. Un balance entre el acido pero un poco mas tanico.
