Rich cherry and black currant nose. Color is purple with a watery thin edge. In the mouth it is not as sweet as the nose is. There is a rather fresh acidity bringing balance. It will be accompanied by the veal cheeks and mash. Looking forward to that.
As the bottle was opened anyhow to use a glass in the stew we already started tasting 😉. — 5 years ago

Made from low yielding 90-year old vines, deep Ruby with aromas of red/black fruits and floral spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry and plum with cacao, black pepper and floral citrus. Firm tannins on a long finish ending with fruit and mineral character. Nice but needs a few years in big the bottle!! — 5 years ago
At the price I consider this to be a good bye. Again not a fine wine but a very strong performing house wine. A little on the peppery side and somewhat thinner than California wines that many people are used to. Other than that a pleasant nose and a pleasant finish. No major complaints. — 7 years ago
Sour black plums, blueberries, bergamot, wild mint leaves, cocoa, nutmeg, charred hamburger, granite dust, and lithium grease. The acidity is bright enough to cut down the aggressiveness of the tannins. Balanced but displays character throughout the finish. Everything seems to fall in place on the palate. Strong fruit and solid winemaking. — 7 years ago
2000 Colheita, bottled in 2013. From a single Quinta Vale d'Agodinho. Touriga Franca (35%), Tinta Roriz (20%), Touriga Nacional (15%), Tinta Barroca (10%),Tinta Caô (8%),other varieties (12%). Amazingly dark colour for a tawny, looks more like an 18 years old vintage port. Still a lot of fruit, intertwined with the intense flowery notes I associate with Touriga Franca and a rather understated nutiness. The mouth confirms the amazing fruit this wine still shows after 13 years of cask ageing and 5 years in bottle. Great balancing acidity and long nutty finish. Impressive indeed. Highly recommended. — 7 years ago
