Super soft and refreshing. Notes of guava. Good harmonization with fish and seafood. — 6 years ago
Drank it after about five other bottles on Fri before Secret Cinema. Remember thinking it is good, need to revisit. Heavy, grown up but still elegant. — 6 years ago
Pale gold color and surprising strength of aroma- this is new wave Albarińo, fermented in barrel and just managing to balance the forward oak and vanilla with more classic aromas of orange peel, white flowers, pear, unripe peach and lemon. this is an intriguing wine, notable for its crisp, steely acidity and flint core. I longed for a bit more depth and finish but a joy to drink even so. — 7 years ago

Had this at chef Avillez’s Bairro in Lisbon’s Chiado neighborhood. First time trying a Dao DOC wine, and it was splendid. Medium bodied, dark fruit and peppery. A nice contrast to the lighter vino verde’s I’ve had a lot of in Portugal. A bottle of this in front of me would be dangerous. — 3 years ago
Recommendation from Pam - really enjoyed it, needed time to open up but once it did it was delicious. Dark fruit, medium tannins, black tea — 5 years ago

Oak. Leather. Smoke (could also be the charcoal bbq, verdict is still out on where the smoke is coming from).
Big and complex.
