Blackberries & black cherries with some cigarbox, thyme, black peppercorns and black tea essence. Plus a whiff of exotic (sandalwood?).
Strong (yet polished) tannins, high acidity and noticeable alcohol - yet after 11y this mix has created a very intriguing, complex and highly drinkable wine. Superb, though probably not everybody’s cup of tea.

No shit sold out. We spit 300+ wines. This was not one of them and represents some of the best whites in the new world. Orange honey marmalade but honestly name it and it's in there. I love this wine. — 11 years ago

Grey Cup Sunday!! Bought this Icewine last year in Ottawa while there to watch the Grey Cup, so I brought it out to celebrate having the Stamps in the Grey Cup again this year. Apricot, peach, honey, absolutely superb Icewine, especially including the lower price point. Totally recommend if you’re a fan of Icewines, cause it is definitely sweet! I love it. #albariñofiesta #albariño #wineoftheday #mw #riasbaixas #lees a fantastic chalky mineral lemon curd example. Thanks @norrelrobertson — 10 years ago
Quite earthy and her all. A touch of greenness, but at the same time comes across as ripe--a characteristic of the '96 Bordeaux. I like this, but it's probably not everybody's cup of tea. — 11 years ago

NYWFC Governor Cup winner 2014 (Best overall NYS wine). Nose of tropical citrus topped with fresh, homemade whipped cream. Continues with lovely pineapple and honeyed cantaloupe flavor and finished with some subtle Asian spiced pear. Well deserved win by a name that's been around since 1985! The 2012 is not the Trader Joe's version mentioned in 2009 reviews. We are loving the balance between the fruit and butterscotch finish, which comes through in a Hampton Inn paper cup. — 11 years ago
My new summer go-to. Apt label for cheering on Team USA in the World Cup too! — 12 years ago

This needs to be cellared for the 2026 World Cup. Young! Father in law said he would open up a beast if I got the wine right in a blind taste. I plucked a 4-6 year old Brunello... Soooo stay tuned for the next review. — 8 years ago
