Tried the '90 recently, spoke of how amazing a producer of Californian Cabernet it is, but just needed a little more time, this '85 is well & truly on point, everything is in balance, there's fruit intensity yes, but the development/complexity/layers are really shining through, outstanding stuff. — 9 years ago
Hey now,, hook me up COSTCO. Pomegranate red light earth nose, above the tree line clarity. Eases you through from start to finish. Gave a slight morning camp chill before drinking and believe the change in temp added to the ability to transport me out of southern heat and humidity. — 10 years ago
Really fun wine. Has more in common with white Burgundy than NZ Sauvignon blanc. A little funky, citrus, minerals and full bodied — 11 years ago

Best white I've had in a long time. Most are usually too strong and acidic for me — 9 years ago
More oak and structure than I expect from a merlot, not as soft. In other words, I liked it because it didn't taste like a merlot. — 10 years ago
Checking in...I still have heart burn from all of the acid. Nails. — 11 years ago
2008, splash decant for an hour then back in bottle to take for dinner. Very nice nose with some quince and tropical fruits, darker than most. If it were a WB, I'd be worried by the color. — 11 years ago
Black pepper aromas. Lots of acidity, mild tannins in the finish. Went nicely with pasta & meatballs. Could use a few more years of bottle age. — 11 years ago

I can understand how many people are in love with this one. Creaminess, honey,. It's like a nectar. — 10 years ago
Fantastic, easy-to-drink red. Hit the spot! Very jammy, delicious fragrance (can I get this in potpourri??), light tannins, light body. Very tasty. I like a little more bite to my reds, but this is a fantastic wine. — 11 years ago
2010 vintage and drinking really well. Rhone in 'Merica! — 11 years ago

The cork is in great shape and so is the wine, which seems young at age 12. Brambly dark berries and savory roasted meat transition to a wave of spicy black pepper in the finish. There's good acidity here, and plenty of additional aging potential. This was an excellent value. The blend is 58% Cab Sauv and 42% Merlot. — 9 years ago
