Oh heeelll yeah. Aromas soar from the bottle upon popping the cork. A closer sniff initially reveals the familiar Ridge notes of dark fruit and American oak. 45 min decant provided it space to really open up revealing its dark fruit and tobacco notes. Smooth tannin and ample acidity added structure to round out this wonderful wine. Not the most complex per se but wow, what a great bottle nonetheless. Paired perfectly with our wild boar and roasted potatoes. Wow.

The cork is in great shape and so is the wine, which seems young at age 12. Brambly dark berries and savory roasted meat transition to a wave of spicy black pepper in the finish. There's good acidity here, and plenty of additional aging potential. This was an excellent value. The blend is 58% Cab Sauv and 42% Merlot.

Nose of chalky mineral.
Very fine tannin and balance. Good fruit of raspberry and blueberries and mulberry. Talcum powder. Fresh fruits and lively and there is a floral note
