Notes of pear and pear skins on nose and palate. Rich and unctuous with hints of honey. Flavours fill every corner of the mouth. Low acid. Great match with smoked cod No point in further cellaring - delicious now. Will look to drink more Condrieu in the future - love Viognier. — 6 years ago
Divides opinion but I thought this was super interesting. A touch of oak, vanilla and cherry on the nose, almost cola-esque. Bright fruits. Cherry & strawberry transforms into an almost Syrah-like depth with fine tannins. Exceptional. — 7 years ago

Aromatically very interesting. Flowers, eucalyptus, leather, currants. There's even a hint of vintage port lurking around the corner. Palate is velvety, softened tannins and great acidity. Finish is a bit short. Still a fascinating wine and great with food--a lovely stand-in for nebbiolo. — 8 years ago
Well balanced southern BC red blend from Oliver. Didn’t know anything about this wine while drinking. Nor did those I was drinking with. It was a gift. I commented that it was easily the quality of a $30 bottle. You won’t find it in the states and lucky to find in Canada for that matter. Vineyard produces limited number of cases. They state their 2016 vintage at 500 cases. If you do find it, BUY IT! — 6 years ago
Domaine rests atop a limestone plateau in Le Brûlat du Castellet, in the northwestern corner of the A.O.C. Bandol. Hocquard family has been farming this land since 1968, currently run by Agnès Henry. Tried ‘14 &’15 together. A blend of about 75% Mourvèdre with the rest Grenache, Cinsault & Carignan. Deep red with dark berry fruit and spice aromas. Aromas of white flowers and a little petrochemical. On the palate developing fuller flavours with a nice touch of nectarine - great purity. A multi Trophy winner on the Australian Show Circuit. Riesling is another grape varietal very suited to Tasmania. — 6 years ago

My first viognier with some age on it. Major coconut cream pie, with other stone fruits as supporting cast. Still noticeably high alcohol, but maybe because I usually drink fairly low alcohol whites. Interesting and tasty wine. — 7 years ago

With New Years around the corner, grab something nice for 2022. Made with 100% Pinot Noir from 10 different "crus " (or villages), from the North & South areas of the Montagne de Reims, as well as the famous Cote de Bouzy. Deep salmon pink with full aromas of berry fruit and citrus mineral notes wrapped in a delicate fine mousse.
