Super mineral, amazing precision in the aromas. Limestone. Just short of GG quality. Will age wonderfully. Sick aromas. Deep, ripe and wonderful freshness. Apricot and stone fruits, complex and mineral, dry and structured. Long, and so precise. 1.8 grams of RS. Almost tannic. Yellow orchard fruits. 12.5%. So clean. Long and salt finish. — 9 years ago

NYE =‘s Krug Rosé. I can’t say I completely agree with what the Krug fireplace mantel suggests, but it’s certainly very delicately delicious and will put a guaranteed smile on your face! The mouthfeel is entirely feminine. The micro bubbles are unmistakable Krug and made with great precision. Fruits of; black raspberries, black cherry, cherries, watermelon mid way to the rhine, strawberries & understated citrus notes with pink grapefruit dominating the blend. The fruits are so restrained but are perfectly styled on the leaner side yet so ripe, juicy and delicious. There’s brioche but it comes fresh from the best of Parisian bakeries. Sea spray, minerality that is so soft & delicate, it’s hard to call it minerality. Krug Rosé reveals the very best, smooth, silky, velvety chalkiness that can be found on this planet. Pink roses/florals for days. Perfect acidity and a glorious, long, rich, beautiful finish that doesn’t end. If you enjoy wines that show pure elegance, perfect finesse and haven’t had Krug Rosé, treat yourself to a bottle or a split. The split may leave you wanting more. However, I can’t think of a better wine/way to celebrate the current year and bring in the next. Happy New Year all! May 2018 be peaceful, successful and spent with your family, best friends, prodigious wines and excellent food pairings! — 8 years ago

Love Taittinger Comtes! Impeccable precision and focus. Long finish. This one is drinking wonderfully! — 10 years ago
Oh. My. Such focus and precision. Flinty, minerally nose - wet rocks and citrus rind. Amazing concentration on the palate. A mere pup, but so bloody thrilling. Can't wait to watch it age and fill out. Love, love, love! — 10 years ago
2012 was a very good vintage for Chablis. In general lots of crisp acidity but w/ less weight than 2010. Snapshot of 12 Fèvre 1er & Grand Cru: Montmains, taut body not too severe w/ floral note; Vaillons, great precision w/ green apple more moderate weight; Vaulorent, saline minerality; Vaudésir, spicy will need more time to show complexity; Bougros Côte Bougerots, some dry extract that balances intense acidity (textural wine); Les Clos, riper stone fruit with stunning long length. — 11 years ago
It’s hard to focus on this when there’s that. Despite my SQN gawking, this was a real surprise. I had previously tasted the 2011 vintage shortly after it made Wine Spectator’s Top 100 list in 2013, but my recollection of it was that of a simple, juicy, fruit forward style that was notable for its balance and refreshing style. This vintage is a completely different animal. The sultry savory smokiness does its best to disguise its pure red cherry fruit, but it’s a purity and a concentration that can’t be held down. Not only does this have length, the cumbrous confluence of flavors are somehow precision tailored to a seamless finish, the end of which is difficult to pinpoint. — 8 years ago
Wow! Roulot Chardonnay with age is amazing! The precision is still there, but with that wonderful aged Chardonnay nutty goodness. The wine started out with a muted nose, but it blossomed over the course of an hour and became quite effusive! Perfect condition too👌 — 9 years ago

Ente never disappoints! Laser-like precision with some flint and lemon-y notes, followed by honey and butter. Not overdone and leaves you wanting for more. — 8 years ago
