Jasnières Chenin Blanc 2023

Pineapple, beeswax, pear and wet stone. Rich full bodied Chenin with beautiful acidity. When it’s first opened it had a nice funk of mushroom / wet forest with a clean mineral undertone. Balanced. I want a case stack for the summer. — 7 months ago

@romo bottles - paid the corkage for this and the Bouchard champagne, bought the PYCM off the list and the dessert wine by the glass. Then of course scotch and cigars 😊

Robardelle Volnay 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2005

Splendid. Robardelle is parceled in village and premier levels and this one kinda rare was very good — 7 years ago

Pouilly-Fumé Sauvignon Blanc

Very forward for a Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Tropical fruit with some minerality on the nose. Persistent but not overpowering acidity with enough body to match. Some residual sugar on the palette as well. — 7 years ago

Chénas Vignes de 1939 Gamay 2018

18年有点老了,三类大于一类香了,香料味挺足的倒是,性价比还可以吧,也是喝的第一支博若莱村级了 — 8 months ago

Pascal Marchand

Mazy-Chambertin Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2010

Just OK on day one. After 2 days on my Argon line. Cardamom, Allspice, forest notes, tannins integrated, black tea, orange rind and dark cherries. I prefer the Suchots from the same vintage. Over all i don’t think that Pascal Marchand did a good job in 2010. I am surprised that he did not better with Grand Cru fruit in a good vintage. May be picked too early? 13% . — 2 years ago

Les Suchots Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Pinot Noir 1995

Tawny purple, opaque. With 3 hours of air the nose blossomed and exhibited the grace and power of a great Vosne. Notes of black cherries, Asian spice, some menthol, dark moist black soil, some sandalwood and a little rose petal. This powered up with air and showed its stuff over several hours of consumption. Great wine. — 6 years ago

Cuvée Spéciale Juliénas Gamay 2015

Very nice Julienas... nice fruit and smooth tannins. I usually don’t drink gamay but this one caught my eye at a tasting and had it yesterday after an old Châteauneuf de pape. Dark fruit , blueberry...smooth tannins — 7 years ago

Terre de Maimbray Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc 2016

WoW what a good one ! Mineral and fruity nose at once : lemon, white flowers, a bit of crushed rocks with too. Superb. The palate is well balanced with a sheer acid backbone and some nice texture and grip all along. Lemon is there to play its part. Long finish with lemon and rocks. A sancerre that plays in the Chablis league ! Love it — 7 years ago

"Les Hautes Maizières" Vosne-Romanée Pinot Noir 2005

Tannins fully resolved. Elegant with classic Vosne fruit. Earthy - touch of strawberry, black raspberry and hint of oak and moos. This is a great wine. From winebid and a real winner. Obviously not available any more. — 8 years ago
