Very good merlot. Low acidity, medium tannins. Very oaky with a sweet vanilla, dark fruits, but with a dark chocolate finish, maybe with a pepper. Still: one of my favorite labels. — 5 years ago
Really charming after the initial SO2 blows off.

Dark garnet to the edge with a bright nose of plum, black cherry, slight earth and oak. Very smooth, medium body, fruit forward yet still a touch dry with mild tannins and nice acidity. Maybe some strawberry in addition to plum and cherry flavors and a hint of spice. Really really a great Oregon Pinot! — 3 years ago
Powerful, beautiful nose, fruit explosion, great drive, still a puppy — 6 years ago

First time trying a wine from Israel. This was pretty nice—lots of autolytic notes and it was nice to try one that was vintage dated and with some bottle age. — 6 years ago
The nose reveals; sweet vanillin, ripe, blackberries, dark cherries, floral blueberries, creamy, blackberries & black plum skin. Black licorice notes, granitic soils, light tobacco leaf, dry stone, light fresh herb notes, dry brush, soft leather with fresh red/blue and violet flowers.
The entry is ripe and juicy and evolves into big, dry, powdery tannins with deep, dark spice that sets on the palate with heat. Ripe, blackberries, dark cherries, floral blueberries, creamy, blackberries, black & plum skin. Black licorice notes, vanillin, granitic soils, light tobacco leaf, dry stone, light fresh herb notes, dry brush, soft leather with fresh red/blue and violet flowers. The acidity is like rainfall. The elegant, ripe, lush, polished, well balanced finish is delicious. Very luxurious mouthfeel.

BDX blend from South Africa: Old World style, not overextracted, nuanced nose of dark berried fruit, mocha, tobacco, pencil lead, dried herbs, pepper, cassis, all the hallmarks of the Left Bank. Really smooth & balanced through persistent finish. Fine pedigree — 6 months ago
