On the nose, red perfumed florals, dark cherries, cherries, strawberry preserves, cherries and pomegranate. On the palate, cherries, dark cherries, strawberries, pomegranate, fragrant florals for days, nice soft spices, cinnamon, vanilla, powdery tannins & minerality. The fruits brighten and the spices grow on the long polished rounded acid finish. Photos one shows their low yields and photo two shows the staff enjoying second breakfast. — 8 years ago
One of my very favorite wines. I try to keep a few in my cellar at all times! — 9 years ago
I drank this at their open house, and at the time I thought it was one of the best 2011's we tasted. This is another example of a wine that will have the "experts" pondering the 2011 vintage. This may be similar to a 2003 for selected wineries. I'll go on the record that I like it - a lot. — 10 years ago

The third PCV wine opened the night of my birthday. This Zin is dense rich and sweet fruit with a bit of soft tannin. One of my favorite PCV zins. But getting old. — 12 years ago

Great structure, notes of apple and pear. I'm not typically a Chardonnay drinker but this one was very memorable!! — 8 years ago
Nice zin!. Great dark berry, baking spice nose with a pallet of blackberry with soft tannins that is balanced nicely with the acidity. One of my favorite zins so far. — 9 years ago

One year later... Still in a Zin adventure. This one is a little more complex than most. — 9 years ago
The best of all 10 Wind Gap wines I tried today. And one of the cheapest. 13.75% alc and it shows. Love the Jolly Rancher strawberry flavor. Gum coating tannins. Wish more of their wines had this slight added layer of ripeness. From 85 year old vines grown on pure sand in Alexander Valley. Made in a concrete egg. A huge surprise. — 10 years ago
