Despite the strong ocean influence the perfect amount of sweetness sneaks in and combines with the acid allowing the wine to surf my mouth on an endless wave of flavor. — 10 years ago

On the palate, it approaches medium bodied, and persistent with crackling acidity, and a wonderful texture. This is outstanding chard. Ocean air and smoke on the nose. You can sense the level of toast on the barrels used here. The palate is dense, yet balanced. Dried apricots, pineapple, golden raisins, butterscotch, then moving to nectarine, honeycomb, kumquat, susumu orange, the layers just keep coming. The more time you let this longer in the glass, the more you will discover. Great acidity to balance the richness. 7 years old and going strong. Lots more ahead. — 9 years ago

Beautiful tropical nose with clear hints of vanillin oak. This has serious presence on the pallet and the texture shows serious restraint that really pays off, it is so supple and perfectly delicate and fresh. Touch of granite minerality. WOW!
