Nils Venge continues to impress me. I'm surprised to see this is the first note on DL!
In the glass, it's a medium cherry red. The nose has plenty of red currant and sweet oak. On the palate, there are definite notes of cranberry and cassis with a hint of wild strawberry. The oak rounds things out in a classic Nils Venge way that I find hard to describe. Soft tannins. Good finish. — 10 years ago

Nils Venge was the first 100 point winemaker in Napa Valley. He still makes an amazing product 🍷. Earthy, flinty, hints of tobacco. Not the average fruit bomb. Very complex 🍷 — 9 years ago
