Tonight’s nightcap 🥃
Notes of honey, figs, and molasses on the nose; brings to mind a nice serving of bananas foster still aflame on the dinner table. On the palate smooth, balanced, and very expressive. This is a great Cognac without being a complete wallet buster. — 7 years ago
Good nightcap. On a cold day. With the first day snow of the winterseason. Great idea @Severn Goodwin to drink rum at that day 👍 — 8 years ago
What a nightcap. Nice aromas and a strong mid palate of green apples and a toasty finish of almonds comes through as it warms up — 10 years ago
Great nightcap while watching an old Bond movie! Powerful and fruit forward showing some hints of earth and oak. It’s always a strong Tempranillo showcasing the depth of tinta de toro and heat of the region. Be patient and give it time and will become a beautiful wine. If you get impatient like i did let it breathe. — 8 years ago
Perfect nightcap for our anniversary weekend. Deep ruby red with high intensity and this completely coats the glass. Rich and potent nose with notes of dark chocolate, figs, dark spices and black fruits. Medium plus bodied with a strong attack and finish coated in molasses, figs, black raspberry syrup and tons of black fruits. Super rich, sweet and soft mid-palate. Super long and never-ending finish. Eager to see what happens before the bottle is finished, hopefully the mid palate beefs up a bit. Drink till 2031. — 10 years ago
Tonight’s nightcap 🥃
During our stay at the hospital for the birth of our son some dear friends of ours brought my wife & I a care package. In it were all manner of goodies and treats, as well as a bottle of champagne and this scotch. They know us all too well 🤫🤷🏻♂️
.
Caramel, creme brûlée, charred orange peels, and Christmas spice cake on the nose. Mild notes of moss on the palate with a pronounced but welcome warmth on the way down. Smooth and perfectly suitable for ending the day with. — 7 years ago

Rescued from the darkest depths of my cellar, seemed like the right way to end the evening. Nobody thought it tasted anywhere near its age. Dried figs and prunes, baking chocolate, wet leather and a syrupy compote, with just a tad too much heat. Very nice but not at all profound, a great nightcap! Drink 'em if you got em. — 9 years ago

So drinkable, better nightcap. Pinot Noir in It’s lightest and most playful expression Without for that sake being boring or predictable. Drinks so nice but drink fast, funk’s coming if you’re slow. — 6 years ago
