Lemon, Gravel, Pineapple, Yogurt on the nose. It’s off dry. Medium bodied and acidic up front but mellowing on the end. Coconut and citrus on the pallet. Really great wine at a great value. — 8 years ago
Pineapple creme apricot honey spice really nice — 8 years ago

Toasted marshmallow n pineapple — 10 years ago
Apricot confit & blonde tobacco notes with lively acidity. Sipped with pineapple cake but would have gone better with epoissese. — 10 years ago
Definition of refreshing!
Nose: Stone fruit, minerals, lemon grass
Notes: same with a hint a pineapple and orange peel.
All around impressive Sav Blanc, can't believe I waited this long to try it. — 11 years ago
My first 'old' Champagne: no fizz, just some vague tingling. Mild oxidation, sauteed pineapple, caramel, hint of salivating sweetness, really complex and deep. Pretty impressive what chardonnay can do! — 12 years ago
Super drinkable. Pineapple or lime and greens - like leaves or green peppers. — 7 years ago
Very good, easy to drink on its own, but would certainly hold up to a variety of foods ... would be quite good with fish. On the nose - initial strong notes of apricot and possibly pineapple, more subtle notes of green apple, peach, and purple grape. On the palette - quite fruity, relatively long finish. Maybe a bit of fig taste. Comes across as sweet but in further thought is rather off dry. Creamy in the mouth. Strong mandarin flavor. — 8 years ago
Wow...has this wine improved since I had it last. It's still thick and waxy but it's added a beautiful butterscotch quality. Add to that; a honey character, green apple, citrus, pineapple, citrus blossoms, chalkiness and minerality that is so soft, elegant & beautiful that is rare even in this quality burgundy. The acidity is perfect as is the balance, mouthfeel, structure, length and a finish you want in all your white burgundy. So elegant. Can't believe how underrated and under appreciated this terroir remains...not to mention the producer. — 9 years ago
Such a wonderful surprise...
Explosive nose of honeysuckle and pineapple.
The palette has a distinct Viognier signature, which is extravagant. My close French friend questioned if this chard was blended with Viognier? Who cares, it's just stand-out. Excellent balance of acidity, texture and delicate sweetness. One of the best white wines we have tasted.
A gift from my good friend Santa @Martin G Rivard. We will not forget this. Thank you! — 9 years ago
Smooth, pear, pineapple....wonderful citrus finish. 2012 vintage, great bottle of wine — 11 years ago
Not too sweet and tastes just like pineapples! Pairs great with poke or Thai food. I was really shocked by how much I liked this wine and I’m not normally a sweet white wine drinker. — 8 years ago
From a 2012 successful harvest this “Chardo” is no exception of a classical Napa Valley showcase. Opened at 55 degrees for inviting botanical, and subtlety toasted aromas. Mouthfeel incredibly light no oak for instance… bwell balanced for that peach, pineapple, and all that ripe baked fruit like that fruit tartars from that famous French Bakery. Ten years later it does stand to be drinkable now, not later than 2023

Second Matthiasson wine that I've tried and it definitely does not disappoint. Low alcohol, elegant smooth mouthfeel and not over-the-top with the cream which is a breath of fresh air for a Californian Chardonnay. Pineapple, guava, and a hint of banana on the nose, Meyer lemon and a distinct minerality on the palate with just a dollop of creamy texture. A lovely wine. Bravo. — 9 years ago

Lovely Riesling even from a mediocre year. Nice acidity but not high enough to imply long life. Good minerality. Green apples, good pineapple and a little peach. — 10 years ago
Killer pineapple notes. Intriguing. At Wine dinner with clients in Philly. — 10 years ago
90/100 An icon and for good reason.
Straw yellow, the nose is barely restraining the intense floral, peach, apricot, pineapple, minerals and citrus. So engaging and easy to respond too but with controlled sophistication.
The medium palate has crispness but balanced with great full mouthfeel on the middle plate, wonderful acidity, vibrant, far reaching.
The finish reflects the whole journey but it a tad shallow, — 10 years ago

Pineapple juice through and through. Malolactic converted sunshine and vanilla glitz in a bottle. Tropical hearts and smiley faces. Like licking an adult pina creamsicle while on pool floaties. Slurp! — 7 years ago
