Dark ruby in color with aromas of black cherry, lavender, cloves, and caramel. Nicely concentrated red fruit and gravelly minerality are evident on the palate with firm acidity and moderate fine grained tannin evident on the finish. Josh Jensen made this from 100 % organically grown Pinot Noir sourced from vines planted in 1975, fermented with native yeasts, then aged 18 months in 30% new French oak. Consumed from a 375 mL bottle, this wine has the fruit and balance to enjoy now and the structure to allow it to go 15 years or more. 14.3% ABV. $88. — 6 years ago
So so smooth and settled, fragrant and deep flavours that are subtle and very long and smooth. Had it after airing overnight — 7 years ago
Very complex wine. Classic Central coast herbal but none of the tomato, stemmy flavors. Nice weight and depth. Will age for a long time. — 8 years ago
Very rich, full flavor, long lasting — 10 years ago
Delicious and so smooth. Tastes like a $90.00 bottle. — 6 years ago
Wow, acid is here and that's for sure. Utterly refreshing, peppery lime nose. Grapefruit, gave, bitter lime but all very balanced. I could drink a bucket. — 6 years ago
Nero d’avola? Native yeasts 💁🏻♂️

The acidity is like a punch in the face - in a good way! Very dry with a bit of sunny currant. — 7 years ago
Wow, just got this Pinot from Whetstone. This is seriously good. Nose is earthy and with a big, dense fruit rush. Legs are long, but you don't get that true alcohol taste. My Riedel Som Pinot glass is brimming with a dark, almost eggplant color...every swirl releases a wonderful aroma. Just beautiful. — 8 years ago
So yummy. I acquired at my most recent Napa visit. Medium bodied fruity cab. — 9 years ago

Delicious, blend of the kitchen sink, but full bodied and full of flavor, delicious — 7 years ago
A beautiful dry rose with great depth of flavor, texture and an incredible finish. I need to get more of this! — 7 years ago
Idk anything about it. But, it’s great. — 7 years ago
Oh heck. I wish I had more. I don't know Aussie wine but don't think that would make a big diff in how to interpret this oner. It is an individual and a nice one at that.
It is smooth and merlot Berry then POW there are your Gewurtztraminer spices and whoa. Despite my hatred of the color of yellow I can dig it. Yowza. — 9 years ago

Most Burgundian of all Californian pinots in my opinion. Showing restraint in alcohol 14.1. Strawberry, raspberry nose and taste, medium weight, good burn. Volnay like. — 6 years ago
