Gush of alcohol at (dry) cork pop. Thought the bottle was a goner. I decanted for 45 minutes and it totally mellowed into a fabulous Bordeaux. Glad I opened it now. Thanks for always sound advice @Jordan Mackay — 9 years ago
Didn't get to pay a ton of attention to this guy, but I liked it. A lot. Great balance. A bit of sugar left, I think ~10g/L was said. Plenty of acid to counter and get your mouth watering. Again a silky texture that I've noticed in their Grüner from this site. Not sure if it is the vineyard or some winemaking, but I want more of it. I think it would improve with some air or on day two(or three.) — 9 years ago

GORGEOUS Côtes du Rhône. From the folks of team Rayas. I want it with dinner and another bottle for dessert. @Jordan Mackay, this is what "Côtes du Rhône with some age on it, for less than $$$" got me. Brilliant challenge question for @Andy Chabot . — 9 years ago
On the whole, a good full-bodied Barolo with hints of rose on the finish. Decanted for two hours prior to drinking. — 9 years ago
@Jordan Mackay you were correct, sir. A unicorn wine. SO glad I opened to share with friends. @Rajat Parr @Julia Weinberg need your/@delectable's wine hive-mind to get more of the story of this gorgeous Napa red blend. Jammy, smoky, licorice, & dried cherry. — 9 years ago
Hooray for a well done, varietal, GV from Otago. White pepper and flower nose. Some citrus as well. Really pretty. Delicate and, I hate to say, soft(silky almost powdery. Hard to describe) palate. Not a green version. Great value. — 9 years ago
Full, smooth. No bite at the end. Low tannin. Little to no leg. Plum flair : ) Going to drink it will spaghetti. Yum — 9 years ago

With input from Sara Kavanaugh and @Jordan Mackay, I set up some wine challenges for @Andy Chabot. "High minerality, full to medium bodied white" yielded this amazingly supple and rich Viognier. — 9 years ago

Thick and rich bodied, this Merlot qualifies as a black wine. It is slightly jammy and complex, with decanting revealing deep black currant and coffee flavors. One suspects a splash of PV in the mix. — 9 years ago
Very nice smooth wine — 9 years ago
