Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2013 “Etichetta Bianca” pours a garnet color with a translucent core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with fascinating notes of ripe and desiccated fruits: black cherry, pomegranate, red flowers, roasted beef, cedar chest, alpine herbs and rocky earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and savory. Ferrando’s Carema (both white and black labels) are never short on personality and always such a joy to share with others. Drink now through 2043. — 2 months ago

1982 Bruno Giacosa Serralunga d'Alba Riserva Barolo. Second red at post-museum lunch at Il P. Drank this alongside the '82 Giacosa Brunello. This was much more well rounded with a longer finish. More favored of the two wines hands down — 10 years ago
Very nice as noted previously, it’s got that Nebbiolo weight that floats. — 3 months ago
Ruby/ brick in color with medium intensity.
Beautiful nose with blue and red fruits, caramel, light oak, cooked cherries, red currants and tobacco leaf.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with cherries, raspberries, spices, light oak, earth, chocolates, tobacco, espresso and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 10 year old Barolo is still fresh and vibrant. Delicious and easy drinking with a great mouthfeel. Complex and well balanced. Tangy and interesting.
Already drinking beautifully, and will continue to age nicely in the next 20 years and beyond.
Gorgeous, elegant and robust. A great sipping wine to share with friends and talk about.
100% Nebbiolo grapes were aged in large Slavonian oak barrels for 6 years.
14% alcohol by volume.
93 points.

Tasted blind . Medium garnet , more terracotta rim . More closed on the nose , some sweet cherry and cedar , orange rind and touch of anise . This is again quite fresh on the palate , some cherry and cedar , cut herbs , anise . Pretty grippy tannins . Reasonable length with good strawberry , raspberry , liquorice tinged finish . Needs a little more time , better in a couple of years and will last well a further 5-10. — 7 months ago

Clear, pale ruby in color. On the nose, it's clean with pronounced intensity primary and secondary aromas of cherry, raspberry, and smoke. On the palate, it's dry with high acidity, low tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of tart cherry, hibiscus, and wet slate with a medium finish. This wine is intense, complex, and with enough fruit to balance the acidity. Overall, I would rate this wine as very good. — 2 months ago
Easy drinking, well balanced, not very complex but versatile and enjoyable. Could develop over a 2-3 years. — 3 months ago

1.5 liter. Great fruit with just the right amount of tannins. — 7 years ago
My favorite 'champagne', this is what I drink for New Years Eve. Delicious without accompanying food, this bottle was meant to be dessert all on it's own. — 9 years ago

Maroon coloration. On the nose, cherry, florals, leather, minerals, and vanilla. On the palate, cherry, red berry, earth, minerals, stronger acidity and tannins present but not overpowering. A Barolo with more finesse than power. — 2 months ago
