Founded in 1956 by Michele and Giuseppina Chiarlo. Son of over 7 generations of wine growers, and a leading figure in Piedmont viticultural industry. Aromas of fresh sweet dark berry fruits & minty herb notes. Cherry, plum and minty flavors, some licorice, cola and cacao, well balanced with defined tannins. Complex lingering finish ending with nice earthy notes. Still has years to run. — 9 years ago
I enjoyed this quite a bit. Good nose, dry, good balance, nice finish. Hard to put my finger on the distinct flavors... — 9 years ago
— 12 years ago
Verdicchio dei castelli di Jesi DOC 2011, Classico Superiore, 13%. An excellent sample of what Verdicchio should look, and taste: the right balance of fruits and flowers aromas. Very satisfying! — 13 years ago
Prisvärt och right up my ally! Lite koda, choklad, kiwi, salmiak, lite barrskog och len men ändå mustig i truten/flabben. In på hansa och hugg den. 👌😌 — 8 years ago

Old school rustic Italian, quite dark fruited, salty. Medium body. Very tannic on the back end, very structured wine. Substantial acid. Needs a couple hours of air to come together and show properly. Pair with 🍝 for a pretty pretty good time. // turns into something special on day 2 — 8 years ago

Sicilian wine from the base of Mount Etna. 95% Nerello Mascalese, 5% Nerello Cappuccio. Soft but chalky, earthy, more low tones, herbaceous but not too much. Medium body, slight rhubarb, but again- not in the way wines can be when they are too young to drink. Really lovely wine. Apparently, the winery is no longer making wine due to lack of interest from the family heirs. — 13 years ago

Yes. Delicious. Have it with cheese. Not meant for dessert. Stand this up next to a good veiny bleu. — 8 years ago
