Monthly 4th Friday is post Thanksgiving this year, so lots of Thanksgiving style wines!
Tight on the nose. A flavor punch of raspberries and blackberries dipped in maple bark. Very herbal and savory on the palate with acidity that is surprising for its age (in a good way). It actually tasted like a young, fruit forward CdP with black pepper, dates, and ripe blackberries. Drinking really well right now. Thanks @Keith Fisher — 7 years ago
2010 was a very good vintage. This is a sub $30 GSM which is excellent. — 8 years ago
The 2022 is just so epic. Gorgeous and provocative nose of ripe cherries, damson berries and a you can almost smell the treacly texture. Raspberry and cherry flower as well. Just amazing fruit captured on the nose. Truly wow. Palate is gorgeous, textured and deep with terrific acidity and freshness and a dramatic opulence to it as well. Just stunning and so juicy. This is just as perfect for what it is as one can get. As it airs the structure becomes more substantial and my god the tiny berry fruit intensity is remarkable. Gorgeous wine. The finish now is stunning mineral and fleshy red cherries. Almost 9.6. Picks up insane finesse now with air. What a wine! — 10 months ago

Very nice cold Climate Syrah. Haisma is making this now for many years. Fleshy reminded me of bubblegum candy balls. Orange 🍊 rind. I really did not could come up with specific fruit notes. However if you like northern climate Syrah this @ 13.5% is excellent. It sold out within 90 minutes at the tasting. Needs time. — 6 years ago
The Megan Anne Cellars ‘Black Love’ Pinot Noir is a barrel selection wine sourced from both the Lachini and Nysa Vineyards. The wine saw some extensive oak treatment (16 months 60% new French oak) prior to bottling. There are lighter oaky tones on the nose that connect with dark fruits and tobacco leaf with damp earth. The palate shows good weight and freshness with black tea, blood orange, peat moss and cherry vanilla flavors. I really love the range here. While this is drinking marvelously now, the wine will cellar well for a decade or more. Drink 2018-2030- 93 — 7 years ago
This is a delicious Rhone style white wine from Horse Haven Hills in Washington State.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel.
This Single Vineyard feels very much like a Rhone white.
A blend of 55% Roussanne, 30% Marsanne and 15% Viognier.
13.2% alcohol by volume.
91 points.

Yum! It is hard to believe how good this “bargain” wine is ($25 retail, less for wine club or when on sale too). Juicy red plum, strawberry and a hint of ruby red grapefruit dominate the initial palette, with delicate coco powder mouth feel and subtle espresso notes. — 6 years ago
Delicious! Had it as part of a wine flight at Salish Lodge in WA. Celebrating our 2yr anniversary of the day we met. — 7 years ago
This is my favorite Mark Ryan wine! Silky smooth blend. — 7 years ago
Toffee and brown sugar, almost candied fruits. Mid-palette to the finish is a bit one dimensional, but a great go-to bourbon. — 8 years ago

2021 vintage. Medium body but filled with old-school passion, love and flavors. More than a hint of mint on the thrashing, tannic finish. Previous, similarly priced efforts from this producer left me indifferent/cold. It takes a lot to awaken certain things these days but this one got the overly jaded California Cab palate fired up again. 01.15.25. — 9 months ago
