Does VERY well a decant, takes the brett( which actually like) out & smoothes the edges a bit. Dark dark black fruits, that volcanic minerality all through. Mild to mod tannins. Can match any food, just about- this time chicken w saffron, apricots; roasted brussel sprouts, & corn pudding w roasted garlic & sage — 8 years ago
Had this at Glen & Josh's wedding. Absolutely stunning. Struck match on the nose, not overly oaky and woody, light and delicious. (I only know the struck match note because I was told about it, but it sounds good :P) — 8 years ago
Excellent, mature but drinking perfectly, perfect match with spicy pork and chorizo stew. — 8 years ago
Great Rioja! Good vintage. Drank it to a lamb fillet with roasted potatoes an vegetables. It was a perfect match. — 9 years ago
We all need a little Lunatique in our lives. Forgot about those ⚛ synthetic purple corks on some of the older B&H though - the Rabbit was no match and had to pull out the heavy artillery to open. Slightly muted nose and a bit thin to start, but fleshed out into a decent Napa Syrah with air. — 9 years ago

2017 is lean, laser-focused and crunchy as a basket of fresh cranberries. Monster acidity and very taught mineral backbone. Brighter and fresher than the 2016 with comparatively subtle florality. This is an excellent match with a broad range of Pacific Rim foods. — 6 years ago
The latest newly released 904 vintage 🎉
What do you folks think of the new more modern label? Personally I find it too modern for an old world wine 😁 but the great news is the contents are still superb 🎉
We killed 3 bottles of this at the weekend & alas I didn’t take notes, so will do so next time, but it had the typical old world LRA 904 nose with a fab well balanced yummy body that should match the 04/05 in quality given a few years 👍
LRA does it again 👏
Incredible quality @£38 ✅

Great now but brilliant in a few more years 👍 — 8 years ago
Very nice right bank style. Big fruit in the nose and tannins to match but surprising amount of acid and balance. Drink now or hold a few more years. — 9 years ago
wine match for delicious duck at La Pic Dame lunch. rich but zesty — 5 years ago
Lapierre to the rescue after a run of forgettable wines! Reduced at the outset, reveals special substance underneath. Lilac, macerated cherry, strawberry, herbs. Electric, super vivid and intense as expected. Just plain tasty. Glorious match w roast chicken — 6 years ago

Cork crumbled but wine was sound! Needed a bit of air. Struck match, lemon curd, marzipan, minerality, med + acid, long finish. — 8 years ago
Rock solid Chablis, crisp. Minerality and orange zest. Perfect match for lemon-seared scallops served cold. Nice find @Chris Young! — 8 years ago
Wow- nice young wine!! We had "spiced-rubbed" chicken thighs, grilled, and served atop a variety of vegi's. The piment d'espellette, cumin & ground fennel seed was perfectly reflected in this young wine! Mmm! Hope BK thought it as perfect a match as I did! Happy 4th to those who celebrate! xo KM — 9 years ago

Another lovely btl. On the nose: noble struck match reduction, lemon, banana, a touch of vanilla. On the palate, fantastic acidity, lemon peel, loads of wet stone minerality, excellent density, and an electric finish. This is drinking so well now. — 5 years ago
