Very smooth, one of the smoothest we have tasted. Glass tasted at aan de Poel, Amsterdam with beef, cépe and celeriac — 7 years ago

Unique fiano expression. Smoky lemon and honey and the merest hint of pine in bouquet. Intense minerality, smoke and citrus fruits softened with honey cream on the palate. — 8 years ago
My wheelhouse flavor profile-echoes of Jura, green bean foam, asian pear. Eye opener, & less than 15$ — 10 years ago
Tobacco notes and dark fruits combined to a smooth finish. An excellent experience — 10 years ago
Tastes better chilled and 5 hours after bottle was open. When opened all that I could taste was cherry. After 5 hours the tobacco flavors can be tasted and becomes smoother and thicker and more interesting. My friend I opened it with liked it. Nothing like the Barolo I prefer but I found it was at the grocery store for $32. — 11 years ago
Full, inky, chewy, soft but strong tannins. Beautiful wine but would be tough to pair with anything but barbecue. Probably best after dinner with cheese, chocolate, dried fruits. — 12 years ago

This dark wine has a fruity nose of blackberry and plum, but there are some more savory notes as well. Black pepper, cigar box and black olive also come through. On the palate, licorice and plums are in the forefront of one of the fruitier flavor profiles I have tasted in Apulian Primitivos. The 16% alcohol is not as overpowering as I imagined it would be. The tannins are fairly forceful and the acidity is refreshing. This wine drinks really well and will pair nicely with a marbled rib eye steak. — 5 years ago
