2011 - 94% Cab and 6% Shiraz. Very nice value wine. Dark fruit with some oak flavor and a really nice fruity finish. Similar to Rioja Aftertaste, for whatever reason. Absolutely will buy again. — 11 years ago

I had this by the glass a few weeks ago and was disappointed but giving a second try out of the bottle has changed my opinion quite a bit. We decanted it for 30 minutes, mostly for aesthetic quality (why the heck not?) so maybe that had a bit to do with the overall taste. Such a truly beautiful translucent ruby colour - like stained glass. A bit o' tannin I was surprised by. Could definitely offer a LOT for diverse food pairings (I know, you're welcome for that insight about Pinot noir....) Young vines really showing in a fun way. Classic P-Morissette does Burgundian style. Cranberry, red purple flowers, black tea leaves, NICE potting soil (not the stuff you can get at dollarama). Would recommend to a friend. Oh also I drank this out of a brandy glass because #myparents . — 9 years ago

Wow. I knew this wasn't a 'typical' riesling but this is great. The nose is subtle sweet reminiscent of cider, and almost earthy. On the palate there is an underlying sweetness with an almost chardonnay top note. It has a fresh acidity with some lemon lime/citrus notes. As it opened up (was too cold at the outset) the dry riesling emerged as well as notes of pear and green apples. The nose had more sweetness too once warmed. — 11 years ago

The fruit for this Pinot comes from two of the coolest, most coastal parts of this appellation, linked by the influence of the Pacific’s cool marine air, which delays ripening. Bright Ruby with berry fruit, citrus and warm spice. On the palate, raspberry and cherry, tangy, with cedar notes and earthy tones. Bright acidity, soft expressive tannins, lingering finish ending with woody spice. Very nice, has room to age. — 9 years ago

Only about 50 cases of this 100% Chardonnay made by Manfred. I now fear that the rarity combined with the crazy prices being demanded for the few bottles produced will destine most to be held as trophies by well-heeled collectors who will never taste them. And that's a shame because this wine is epic! Decadent and unapologetic, this is a mouth-coating monster of a Chardonnay, crafted as only Manfred can. White flowers, apricots, peaches with a hint of buttered popcorn on the nose. Explosive mid palate finishing with a touch of butterscotch. Densely concentrated and layered. Lingering finish. Recommend a lengthy decant. Right up there with Rien Ne Va Plus as my all time favorite SQN White. Interesting because that was a 100% Roussanne. Maybe Manfred should reconsider blending? Don't think I'll make that suggestion! — 9 years ago
