@Delectable Wine this is the Central coast rose. Tastes like a peach jolly rancher. Love it!! — 2 years ago
Yum yum yum. Easy drinking red, juicy and fruity with some vegetal notes. — 3 years ago
Many regard Keller as the best in the Rheinheesen and this bone dry racy Riesling is one of the best I’ve ever had. Von Der Fels is Man on Wire. A tight rope walker with razor thin margins. Austere and beautiful. Incredible juxtaposition from calm lemon, vanilla aloe, and sage to a level of acid I haven’t seen before.
And still spectacularly harmonious. — 6 years ago
First Himmelreich I’ve tasted from the 2016 vintage and as always this producer sets the bar awfully high. So far this confirms my preference for the Spätlese wines of the vintage over the Kabinett but only by the slimmest of margins. The best examples have all retained supercharged acidity but offer the ample weight for complete balance. This one is in perfect harmony right now. Grapefruit, green apple, apricot and intense floral quality. Minerality kicks in right up front and doesn’t quit. Ideal food wine. — 7 years ago
San Benito County Negrette. Cloudy, dusty rose in color, light pigment extraction. Smells of grape pulp as when eating table grapes. Hint of rhubarb or red fruit in aroma. Strawberry, lemon peel, rhubarb and black pepper (initially) in the mouth, definitely different. Fruity, good acidity, a fun pour overall. Probably the first of this varietal I’ve ever had.

A beautiful Chenin! Light, zippy, a little brett, easy drinking. — 4 years ago
Beautiful ruby color. Macerated blackberries, pomegranate, blood orange, high-tones of violets and roses. Nice nervy texture that imbues raspberries. Epic wine that paired beautifully with my juicy burger topped with bacon jam and fresh aioli! — 5 years ago
No primary fruit but all the following in the bouquet; Rhubarb, dark cherry, raspberry, a little sweet, purple with clear margins, light bordering on ethereal, slight astringency at the finish. Worth the wait. — 6 years ago
Inky purple, more clarity at margins. Violet, anise, butterscotch, red fruit and maybe a pork note in nose. (Paired with veggie lasagna so it's the wine with the meaty smell). Bright strawberry, cherry and later blackberry and prune flavors in mouth, light skin astringency on top of tongue, slight mint and lactic flavors in aftertaste. The opposite of big and rich for a Zin, delicately flavored, good acidity, but still a healthy hit of ethanol, well masked. A keeper for an everyday red — 7 years ago
A bit of acid, strawberry fruity — 3 years ago
Loved this dry crisp glou from Rebel Rebel Womxn zoom event during quarantine. Smelled so sweet but tasted divine. — 5 years ago
Deep dense highly extracted purple red; excellent clarity at margins. Black currant fruit leather in nose with a touch of butter (later, butterscotch), funk, raspberry, blueberry, white pepper, spice and canned spinach (evolves into canned corn and something like dill; complex nose). Black currant, blackberry and black (later white) pepper flavors with cherry cola and a touch of spearmint in finish. (Sorry, it’s not a goth affectation or such; I just call it as I perceive it, honestly, scientifically, as best I can make it out). Some skin bitterness with moderate skin astringency. I’m really digging this complexity and depth of flavor... — 6 years ago

Fantastic. Been a fan for a while now. Big time acidity. Dense color. Fresh herbs and juicy fruit explosion. Wow. — 10 months ago
