lovely dry white — 3 years ago
One of three new wines from Clos Sainte Magdeleine. Oh my. Nothing in the world like standing in that vineyard, then tasting their lineup, then going for a swim in that cove afterward. What a day. — 5 years ago
Delicate nose of green mango rind, tart green citrus, maybe wet sea sand, with a touch of hay, with some slight bakers goods notes underneath. Light bodied, grassy and mineral on the palate, with notes of honeydew melon, maybe some ash, underripe green fruits, maybe herbaceous notes, but slightly creamy on the finish, with a palate or maybe green lush grass. Very interesting! — 4 months ago
The nose is a delight of cassis, blueberry & blackberry as well. For being a 2010 I was worried how this would behave- but there’s no worry here. 2010 was a legendary vintage all throughout Bordeaux- and this inexpensive little number is proof of the point. It’s in its prime, and costs a dime for every dollar one would consider spending on more recognizable labels. Yea. I’ve given the matter a lot of thought, and the 2010 Château Magdeleine Bouhou is my 2020, Poor Man’s Cheeseburger Wine of The Year.

Delicious. From #languedoc area so warmer climate riper fruit. Reminiscent of Californian #pinot #pinotnoir — 7 months ago

Fairly typical Provençal rosé, which is a good thing. Oily density, bit of minerality. Not very strong fruit though. — 11 hours ago
